Since Sapphire is the birthstone for the month of September, I think it’s fair to assume that she’s a Libra Sun. She was sent to Earth on a diplomacy mission and is fairly social and outgoing, as evidenced by her first conversation with Ruby.

Partnership is also very important to her since she and Ruby are so in love that they decided to permanently fuse. The balance between the two is stable - otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to stay as Garnet for so long.

However, Sapphire prefers to avoid confrontation by acting as though nothing is wrong. This is promoted by her Libra Sun and  is probably only exacerbated by her Aquarius Moon; though she’s independent and stands out from the crowd by fusing with Ruby, breaking away from common social convention, she has trouble expressing her emotions and sometimes comes off as aloof or cold (sometimes quite literally). Sapphire likely has a lack of Water Signs in her chart as a whole, further adding to her lack of emotional communication.

Thanks to the dominant Air Signs in her chart, however, Sapphire is extremely bright. She can come up with plans on the fly, though occasionally Venus-ruled Libra distracts her, and flirting takes precedence over staying on track.

Because of her job on Homeworld, it’s likely that Sapphire has Life Path 2, The Diplomat. She believes in unity and compassion, causing her split from Blue Diamond’s court when she and Ruby fused.

All of Sapphire’s traditional gem associations tie into her story: Sapphire is traditionally used for aid in Prophecy, but is also tied to both Fidelity and Mental Acuity. Ironically, Sapphire was also worn to expose treachery - and, in a way, her own “treachery” to Blue Diamond was exposed when she and Ruby fused into Garnet for the first time.

Amethyst

As the February birthstone, I think it’s far more likely that Amethyst would be an Aquarius than a Pisces. She’s energetic, independent, and outgoing - but despite the amount she talks, often times she actually says very little. Amethyst has trouble expressing her emotions to the other Crystal Gems and even to Steven; because of that, she struggles with low self-worth and issues stemming from a lack of communication throughout the series.

Amethyst hates being told what to do. Though she enjoys fighting alongside the other Gems, she has trouble taking constructive criticism; she definitely likes to do things her way. She also constantly has to be entertained.

I’d say that Amethyst most likely has an Aries Moon. This further adds to her need for independence and general lack of impulse control. It also contributes to her energetic nature - in her off time, for example, she found her entertainment in wrestling.

She cares very little for “acting proper” in social situations, letting her individuality define her actions instead. Overall, I’d say her birthchart is more than likely Fire Dominant, with a lack of Earth signs.

I believe Amethyst also has Life Path 5 - she enjoys new, exciting things, relishes her independence, and is always looking for her next adventure.

Like Pearl, Amethyst subverts a lot of the things her gem traditionally stands for. She is very rarely introspective by choice, instead chosing to ignore her issues in hopes they’ll work themselves out. In addition, she hardly leads a life of moderation, and though she’s excited to visit Homeworld for the first time, she seems more ashamed of her Kindergarten than homesick for it.

Pearl

Doing full breakdowns for the Gems is going to be a bit harder, since they don’t really have Earth birthdays. Instead, I’ll be associating them as best as possible based on traits!

Since Pearl is the birthstone for June, it makes sense that Pearl would be a Gemini - she’s talkative, expressive, and smart, but she’s also high-strung and usually very tense. In my opinion, Pearl most likely has a Virgo Moon. She’s hard working and a definite planner; she gets stressed with improvisation. She also wants to help and train others to their fullest potential, though she can be overly critical at times - not because she thinks little of people, but because she’s highly protective.

I believe Pearl’s most likely Life Path Number is 4. She works hard and tends to do things “the right way” - she often thinks shortcuts are dangerous rather than working smarter. She prefers stability and dislikes change, whether it’s in her relationships or the world around her.

As for Pearl’s birthchart as a whole, it’s probably safe to assume that Air Signs dominate her chart. Again, she’s intelligent, a little high strung, and very animated. On the other hand, she’s most likely lacking Water Signs - she can be out of touch with others’ emotions and is constantly trying to fill the void that Rose Quartz’s absence left in her life. The animation from her air signs might even be to make up for her lack of connection.

Pearl as a gem is associated with the element Water - and I think Pearl’s lack of Water Signs is what sets her apart from the other Pearls. She cast of the mantle of people pleaser to take control of her own life; the need to maintain that control is part of who she is. The gem’s primary associations, likewise, are things that Pearl finds herself struggling with throughout the course of the series: Finding true peace in herself rather than others, and finding a sense of balance in her desire to help others and care for herself.

I think this dichotomy is interesting; by becoming an individual, Pearl steps away from what Pearls are supposed to be. Without those restrictions, she more than anyone else in the show (except maybe Steven) is tasked with rediscovering who she is to find her peace.

Steven Universe

Birthday: August 15, 2002

Life Path Number: 9

Since the episode where Steven turns 14 was released in 2016, let’s assume he was born in 2002. Since Beach City is based off of various places in Delaware, I used Oak Orchard as the closest identifiable location.

Since I couldn’t find a birth time, his rising sign and house placements may not be entirely accurate, so bear with me on that.

Overall, I’d say Steven’s birthchart is pretty accurate! His Leo Sun obviously matches up - he’s outgoing, honest (sometimes to a fault), and extremely theatrical. But his Scorpio Moon speaks to his intense feelings; usually, those feelings are positive, but his anger and sadness are just as powerful.

I think that Steven’s Virgo Mercury and Leo Mars are just beginning to present themselves as he matures; though he was unsure of himself at first, he’s growing more and more confident in himself and his destiny. His Libra Venus is evident, though - Steven has shown time and time again that he hates being completely alone. He’s a people pleaser, but some of that desire to prove himself more than likely stems from a certain degree of abandonment from his unresolved issues with his mother.

His sixth house cusp in Aries points to his need for action: Steven would rather be solving problems than sitting around waiting for answers. He gets frustrated when things don’t come easily - when he’s learning to summon his mother’s shield, for example.

Steven’s Life Path Number is 9, meaning he’s constantly trying to make the world a better place through compassion and love. Steven always wants to see the good in others, and others are drawn to him.

Though Steven has a Lack of Earth Signs in his chart, his Mercury in Virgo and emphasis on fixed signs such as Leo and Scorpio compensate for that. This means that though Steven has the tendency to be impractical, impulsive, or ungrounded, he’s able to overcome these issues more easily than others.
