Useless drunk ass piece of shit (affectionately)

Dipshit decided he had grown his hair out halfway through this sketch and made me edit it.

That's my Janx.

Named after the strongest liquor in the entire galaxy, which he somehow managed to procure a bottle of, which probably explains why he's draped across the floor and manwhoring so hard.

Fckin idiot. I love him so much.

Extra finger is intentional, he has twelve total, polydactly in both hands and forever proud of the fact that he can flip off four people at one time

This is going to end up eventually being covered in my fics, so I already know how they all get along, but I'll give a little detail anyway on a few of them.

Hercinia Wren
  • Married to Crocodile for almost ten years by the time Cross Guild forms. More of a business arrangement than a proper marriage, but it's worked for this long so why bother changing anything? They secretly do care about each other but are both much too proud to admit it.
  • She may attempt to flirt with Mihawk occasionally when she's annoyed with Crocodile, for the sole sake of making him jealous. Mihawk esentially just disregards her existence unless otherwise forced to contend with it, in which case he typically just glares at her and makes a shooing motion until she gets offended and leaves him alone.
  • Buggy is frankly a bit afraid of her. He's seen her order Crocodile around, and that's more than enough reason to be wary. Wren is well aware of this, and is happy to use it to her advantage, as it means she can use Buggy as an errand-boy.

Karimi Lionne
  • She's no fonder of Crocodile than he is of her. Full avoidance on both of their parts, as often as possible.
  • In a committed relationship with Mihawk by the time Cross Guild forms. He won't tolerate any threat to her well-being. She's frequently irritated about how protective he is, but considering how lacking she is in the art of self-preservation it's really for her own good.
  • Her history with Buggy initially came about with him sinking her sloop and essentially holding her hostage, so she isn't particularly fond of him. He's a little more wary now to avoid crossing Mihawk or her father, but Karimi refers to him almost exclusively as "that jackass clown."

Lyon D. Rollo

  • Not too concerned with Crocodile. Lyon is as protective of Wren as he is of all his old crewmates, but he knows she can handle herself and frankly almost pities the guy a little for being under her thumb.
  • Still a little weirded out that his daughter is romantically involved with a man the same age as him, but is doing his best to accept it; but if Mihawk ever does anything to hurt her, it will be a very different story.
  • Was often the butt of Buggy's jokes when they were on Roger's crew, and not much has really changed there; but Lyon takes it in stride and still considers him an old friend. Buggy often refers to him as "Lyon D. Dipshit," but in a brotherly kind of way.

Janx
  • He isn't above reminding Crocodile that he had a toxic relationship with Wren first, and Wren isn't above using Janx to make her husband jealous. Best not to leave him and Crocodile alone together for any period of time, as there likely will be blood.
  • No real opinion of Mihawk. Karimi is his goddaughter, so as long as she's happy, he's cool with the guy. Mihawk just considers him an idiot, and he probably isn't wrong.
  • Very storied past with Buggy considering they're literally brothers. At the point where Cross Guild forms, Buggy is still resentful of Janx for all but disowning him when he joined Roger's crew, but despite that Janx would protect his little brother with his life.

Can't really give anything for my other OCs since they're not involved with Cross Guild at all (Hizashi is off enjoying his retirement in East Blue, and Clara ended up joining a different crew), but this is how it goes for the rest of them.

Wanting to experiment with more dynamic lighting, and Wren is a dramatic bitch so perfect candidate. Going for kind of a firelight effect here.

I'll also be providing a random fact or two about her with each update, since I'm still developing her history.

  • As of the Alabasta arc, she is 39 years old, but she's more likely to claim she's 35.
  • She's originally from Primula, Dressrosa, where her parents ran a successful bistro, at least until a scandal that left her mother dead and her father and his mistress in prison for murder. Wren was sixteen at the time, and was held briefly as a potential accomplice before being deemed innocent and released.
  • She left the country shortly thereafter upon finding work as a cook aboard a merchant vessel, carrying with her an immense mistrust toward men and a cynical outlook on the world in general.

Really can't believe he's finally done I'm gonna cry 😭

Guess I'll be nice and let him take over my display pic. As much of a moron as he is still my moron and I still love him.

And once more, in case anyone asks, yes he's supposed to have six fingers on each hand. Bilateral polydactly. He can flip off four people at once and he's very proud of it.

Janx said if I finish rendering Buggy before him he's disowning me and putting himself up for adoption.

So I just finished the drama queen's ammo pouches. He's lucky I love him 😑

But I do have more confidence about working on his guns after drawing Beck, so I'm doing those, then his hair and earring, few little touch-ups, and then the idiot should be done.

Oh he's being a grumpy lil shitass.

Told him if he's gonna be a baby about it I'll make him into one.

So I'm temporarily putting my current drawing of him on hold to speed through a chibi of him being a grumpy lil shitass, and then that will be my blog icon.

He's also very annoyed about that.

He just loudly proclaimed that the best part of having an extra finger on each hand is he can flip me off four times at once.

Clara Santiana, the last of the Hurricanes' crew officers I'll be worrying about right now. By far the lowest bounty as well. Youngest member of the crew (joined when she was fifteenish, the others were in their later teens to early twenties, with the exception of navigator and half-unwilling crew-dad Hizashi in his early 30s). Honestly not much of a fighter, she can handle throwing knives/needles with adept precision, but cannot handle close-combat at all. Her parents were both doctors and she was raised at sea by them, so she honestly has more experience on the ocean than anyone else, and played the pivotal role of the Hurricanes' medical officer ever since she was rescued by them from a far more hostile crew that had killed her parents and taken her prisoner.
