And that's a wrap on the line art.
Not gonna lie I kinda love it. The boots and the pants and the floofy sleeve and the ruffles and the hair. I'm much happier with this than I expected to be.
And of course the one I'm working on for @unkamensoul, which both he and I have been happy with since I finished the rough draft for his sketch.
We'll see how much I continue to love them once I get into rendering....
I'm slowly growing more confident in my ability to do commissions, with many thanks to these two amazing long-time friends who have helped me along on this journey. Who have honestly helped me with much more than that over the years. I've known them both for over a decade and they've been there for me through some incredibly terrible things. They've put up with me going into depressive episodes and not contacting them for months at a time. They're two of the most wonderful human beings I have ever had the honor of knowing.
Thanks to them, I'll be drawing up official details for commission requests soon. Some rough details for now:
- I'll probably be taking two or three at a time, I don't trust myself to take on more than that at once.
- Prices can be discussed any time between starting the project and the completion of the line-art sketch. I will absolutely NOT charge anything before I've finished a sketch, to ensure that it's something I'm capable of doing.
- I've studied up a bit on average commission prices and I'll be trying to keep pricing flexible but reasonable, depending on the project. I'll likely go with the method of partial-payment on completion of a line-art sketch that we both agree we like, and the remainder of payment upon completion of the project.
- I will probably harrass you with frequent progress updates throughout the project to ensure you still like it because I want to make sure that you're satisfied.
- If you have a deadline for when you want the art complete, you need to let me know in advance. I usually work pretty well on a time crunch, but I definitely need to know if the project HAS to be completed by a certain date/time.
