Listen I was saying this to @theladyelizabeth but the basic Thomas/Mihrimah dynamic is - he treats her like the ruling Queen and equal she is but also so so gently and cares for her all the time and is thoughtful and writes poems about her. They both adore their children and are genuinely legendary progressive (by modern standards to but in the context of their own time by expression), wise, kind and sensible rulers. Once in forever. Disney couple.

But Mihrimah also took one look at this sweet, kind, gentle and wise Prince who cries about how much he loves dogs and went ‘if anyone hurts this man I will methodically and brilliantly burn the universe to ashes and will not be sorry - I don’t care if he wouldn’t want it, he’s gone and you hurt him’ and that is absolutely true. I love them so much. Like Mihrimah is that person who if someone said ‘it’s not what Tommy would have wanted’ would go ‘he’s gone. You took him from me. I don’t care’ and burns someone alive.

Cate Fawley does not want to be a hero. She doesn't want to be a fighter, a harbinger of doom, or whatever it is you want to call what she's doing.

She wants to be a teacher. She wants to be a historian. She wants to settle down in the American midwest with her stepdad, her best friend, and the boy she's loved forever and teach kids History of Magic and write books and maybe, one day, believe she deserves to be happy and loved enough to marry Matoskah Fasthorse.

But Cate has known her whole life that her father was a monster, that she has the potential in her to be a monster too, and as much as she wants nothing to do with Britain and the fight against Voldemort she knows she can't avoid it. Her mother always told her that she would need to fight, because Isolde wasn't going to live to do so. Cate would have to take her place.

She breaks up with Mato because she doesn't want him to have to wait for her. He's good, and kind, and brave, and wonderful and everything she doesn't feel she deserves and he deserves to be happy.

Currently, I have only been writing for Blood Does Not Family Make. Cate and her mother Izzy both have fleshed out backstories and timelines, I had Cate in my head for two years and Izzy for a year before I started writing the fic.

Susanna I have had for all of two days and I am feeling like that Rosa Diaz meme... you know the one.

I am still figuring her out, try to understand what her story is. But I am SUPER EXCITED about her. Because I am 30 years old and tired of reading fics about teenagers doing adult things so here I am writing a Tired Single Mom OC.

I do have a new Grisha OC for Shadow and Bone, Sarnai, who is a young 19/20 year old and it's super weird but I wanted to make her and I'm excited for her because she is a very morally grey character. I'm going to make a post for her at some point this weekend in between all the craziness of real life.

Ask me about any of them! Just know that Cate and Izzy are more fleshed out, Susanna and Sarnai are still in the works.

When Mirhsuri posted about her Time-traveling Anne Boleyn AU idea on tumblr, in which a pregnant Anne escapes execution by mysteriously time traveling to the future where she gives birth to triplets, settles in New York, and meets the Avengers, I messaged her and basically said "Ok, but what if instead of meeting the Avengers, she meets the Nine-Nine and falls in love with Rosa Diaz." What followed was several messages back and forth in which this crazy AU was created. I'm writing it and posting for no other reason except myself and mirhsuri's happiness. For those of you in the wilds of The Tudors AU History fandom, you get this. For those of you in the B99 fandom, I can only apologize and hope you don't mind having a little crazy in your archive for a while. This will not be regularly updated, but I do plan on posting more at some point.
