So. I just went back through this and updated it some. Took somethings out, added somethings... If you happen to be looking for some fic to read, here are some of my faves for you to check out :D
We need to write an open letter to Marvel listing all of the reasons why it is imperative that they get Nicole Beharie involved in the MCU.
I can’t even begin to express to you how important this is to me, I don’t think I can be coherent about it either, I just really want her playing a Superhero Bad-Ass Queen in a Marvel movie and/or TV show.
I mean, we got a Black Panther movie coming up, we could get her involved in that, but what would be better would be if we could get her involved somehow as Misty Knight.
And I am still of the opinion that she would make a great Carol Danvers if Marvel was feeling like thinking outside the box...

The man in the booth before Darcy stares down at his pancakes with suspicion.
A few days after Bucky discovers his true identity, Darcy encounters him in a diner 50 miles outside of D.C. having apparently transformed from a handsome long-dead war hero into a creepy, scruffy, pancake-hating serial killer. So of course she tries to help him.

he had to learn. every good agent does. so when melinda finds him later. pale. sick. and his face still tear stained. she tells him no. it doesn't ever get any easier. the day it gets easier is the day you retire. she offers to help. not sure if he'll take it. the kid is strong but this isn't what he joined up for. when he says yes. that he need to learn more. his voice raspy weak and shaking she decides that this could be part of her new story

Ten years down the road Tony is at a Science convention where he comes face to face with a young mechanical engineer. The young man says. “I’m Harley Keener. I don’t suppose you remember me, but we shared an adventure 10 years ago in Tennessee. You changed my life. I hope you don’t mind but ever since that night I have thought of you as the closest thing I ever had to a father.”
Tony grins. “You’re trying to guilt trip me.”
The young man smiles. “It was worth a try.”
They laugh, and Tony buys Harley a beer and asks him about his work and later Tony quietly makes sure that Harley’s project gets the funding it needs. The same way he made sure that Harley got into a good college and had the right scholarships. Because Harley saved him when he had no one(and maybe, just maybe because if only for that one night Harley was the closest Tony ever came to having a son.)
