So was anyone going to tell me that Geralt keeps Renfri’s brooch on the hilt of his sword as a reminder of Blaviken, or was I supposed to find out from an interview with Henry Cavill myself. (Y’all, I’m super oblivious.)
Geralt of Rivia is the funniest character on the entire continent. He crashes a wedding he wasn't invited to to tell a queen that supernatural retribution doesn't exist in a world where magic is a REAL and known to require balance, gets immediately proven wrong in a way that cannot be chocked up to coincidence, then IMMEDIATELY does something that could only do what he wanted it to if fate didn't exist. And in exchange fate is like "ok fuck you" and gives him a gift certificate child. The Universe decided he was being enough of a bastard it was going to witch-takes-your-firstborn-trope him into a found family.
In conclusion, Geralt of Rivia is the epitome of the "that sign can't stop me because I can't read!" meme
