CW has 3 women fighting whereas BvS has 1 women fighting , 1 being love interest and a damsel in distress and 1 for being a plot device to end a fight against Batman and Superman. And 1 was killed off.

You’re still here? Do you really feel so insecure with your comic book movies that you’re still angry with me over my opinion?

I like how you use the term “fighting woman” as if female characters who don’t punch men in the face are weak. That’s very progressive of you. Nice.

Lois was the one who found out Lex was manipulating events to turn the world on Superman. She had the proof, and that’s her whole arc in the movie. She knew Lex was bad news before Clark or Bruce were even looking in his direction. But oh yeah, she’s just a weak damsel in distress totally. She doesn’t punch people in the face so she’s weak. Her storyline had nothing to do with being a love interest. Lois always looks for the truth.

Senator Finch was an excellent character, killed off too soon, I agree. But her arc with Lex was so well done. She knew he wasn’t trust worthy. The characters in this movie that were able to sniff out Lex’s lies were women.

Martha was the source of Clark’s hope. She grounded him and she talked to him as her son, a human, and not as a god. She’s a widow trying to help her superhuman son. Sorry she’s not punching enough people in the face to please you.

Diana was awesome, even you seem to see that.

Martha Wayne was actually put ahead of Thomas Wayne in terms of her importance to Bruce, which was excellent to see after the Nolanverse could only talk about Thomas as someone important to Bruce.

Clark and Bruce literally come together as a result of the women in their lives that they love.

If you want to reduce the amazing women in the movie to “damsels in distress” and “love interests” then clearly that’s your own problem in how you perceive women.

The thing about Lois needing to be rescued all the time is that she is totally not afraid to die for her Cause. Whether that cause is discovering  the government covering up aliens, sending said aliens back to the Phantom Zone, or calling Lex Luther a dick to his face, she is 110% devoted to finding out the truth and doing what’s right over doing what’s safe. She is lucky and grateful that Superman is always there to catch her, but she doesn’t go in expecting him every single time. She’s been doing this long before he ever showed up, and she’ll keep doing it until her time is finally up. Lois Lane is ready to give everything of herself to save the world, and that is why she is a hero.

This is actually really important and something people repeatedly miss. Lois does not expect Superman to save her. Every time she goes running in…she’s doing it willimg to die. And let’s face it….journalists are sadly killed doing dangerous things in real life. If only we ::did:: have a Superman who could save the journalists who were taken captive and executed in line of duty. It ::does:: happen. She’s the Good Samaritan who is willing to die for others. Now, you can call that “reckless” all you want. It’s also a distinct character trait and something defining and human and real. But she is not and never is “waiting for Superman” which is why the idea that she just waits for him to save her is such an offensive misread of the narrative. She would still be doing this even if he wasn’t here. Lois was Lois before Superman or Clark Kent arrived on the scene. Yes, he changes her life in important ways. He gives her hope that power can truly be good and not corrupted and, obviously, he changes her life because he’s the love of her life and that kind of soul shaking love does change who we are. But he did not make her who she is. If anything, it’s the opposite. In many ways, Superman’s public hero identity is shaped and formed through Lois Lane’s eyes but Lois herself was already formed before Superman. She would be doing this no matter what.

Alfred: Bruce, go find a nice girl in Metropolis, settle down, and find a little bit of the happiness that you're convinced you don't deserve. Give me grandchildren!
Bruce: *goes to Metropolis to rob Lex Luthor, is utterly dumbstruck by a beautiful woman, behaves like a slack jawed cartoon of a man, gets his shit stolen by said woman, and immediately decides he'd do anything for her.
Alfred: *looks at Diana, as she saves Bruce's ass* I'll take it. Perhaps the longevity means she'll have enough patience to deal with him.
