well YES!!! i would love to :-) especially because like maelor i have pondered and thought about them more recently .

during my unwilling tumblrbreak i actually thought about maelor a lot ... i decided to move his death back a bit to a year or so before alysanne's death - so around ~99 ac ... same context, just later on . oomf suggested that it'd be fun for him to be ulf white's dad which has been on my mind very very much . imagine it ....

maelor in his youth before marrying viserra ending up in fleabottom, meeting this girl who seems so familiar and so akin to his sisters back home in some ways - a comfort exactly like the kind he finds in his imagined version of saera ... a rare moment of almost connection with her . so they meet and he leaves her be . and the next time he thinks of her and comes back to see her she has this little bastard baby with her . maelor almost starting to play house with her, finding amusement in having a family that he doesn't need to have the same concern for as whatever 'real' noble family he ends up building.

you're ulf and you grow up without a father, except when this Man decides to show up at your doorstep and treat you and your mother as things to treat badly when he tires of his noble, royal family - living in constant horror of needing to act the part of someone's son at any time, until he tires of your mom and probably tries to kill her . except when he does tire, she's the one who comes back instead of him. and you begin to tell people baelon is your dad, as an unintentional slight to maelor and as a way to get away from your terrible frightening childhood . but he will always be there and there will always be a hint of him in your mother because targaryen bastards are plentiful and everywhere. and them him and hugh (saera's son) claims silverwing and vermithor (their grandparents dragons) and everything comes full circle 😇

saerra ends up betrothed to jaerys after maelor dies - since they're the 2 eldest & this is pretty far before the targs begin to sort of steer away from the incest marriages, i think that makes sense ... doubt it's a very happy arrangement though . saerra projects maelor onto him because she's the only child he actually seemed to properly love and cherish . of course in a weird way but she doesn't quite realize that .... and jaerys is just not a very good guy because he IS the most similar to maelor LOL so it all kind of clashes .

and lastly vaemon ...... arghhhhhhh. i don't know!! i've been trying to get a feel for what would fit but nothing's quite clicked yet. maybe a manderly? with how viserra's original betrothal ended i think it'd be fitting and might to some degree kind of smooth things out. sort of .

we don't actually have much info on the targaryen residence situation (beyond the red keep & dragonstone, plus summerhall but that wasn't built yet at this point) - they don't actually seem to have anywhere to live aside from court in king's landing or court at dragonstone 😭 which feels unrealistic for a royal family so i picture they've got a little keep somewhere in the crownlands where they spend most of their time . whereas naelle goes off to hornvale :-)

i've silently moved maelor's death forward a bit until like a year or 2 before alysanne's (so in ~99 ac) ... meaning he does die when shes like . 10 . but i do think that he has some kind of strange off putting attachment to her just by virtue of sort of projecting saera onto her. he settles into his little fantasy world and doesnt concern himself with anything but that delusion and if he'd lived longer yeah i think it'd get .. weird ....

extremely overbearing yeah . i'm not sure if viserra would see her as 'competition' necessarily because she doesn't really care that much for maelor in the first place - their relationship is built atop the desperation she feels when she's about to be married off, and when that desperation disappears they're kind of left with only some form of hostile attachment tied together inherently by their marriage . which i guess also pushes maelor further towards saerra - because she's a bit of a blank slate that he can mould into whatever he wants her to be.

from saerra's perspective i imagine that with maelor just latching onto her and coddling her and kind of shutting her away from the world outside of himself it becomes this mutual attachment that becomes worse and worse and worse as time goes on . i can imagine it becomes sort of like a reflection of jaehaerys and saera's relationship. targ cycle continues endlessly . maelor becomes just like the very worst parts of his father

if you think about it maelor is so kind. helping vaegon explore homosexuality in a familiar comfortable setting ❤️ the fact that maelor pretends that he's a girl and dresses him up in saera's clothing has nothing to do with it . of course he likes him for who he is.
