Ok idea if Jod gets a redemption I’d want it like this. maybe now that everything in his life is pretty much over, his crew gone and if he gets away he’s on the lam. maybe having to face the harsh memory of what happened to his Jedi master awakens something in him again. Something small but aching in his chest
He remebers some the the now destroyed temples she took him to where no one else seemed to exist. At first he hides out there, he’ll need a place to rebuild his life, then maybe he lets himself into the force. He couldn’t even use it against the kids and their parents all at once he’s obviously hasn’t had enough training. He’s frustrated at first, only being able to go off memories of his masters teachings, which in turn floods his mind with painful memories making it even harder to connect to the force.
But he remembers what she’d tell him all those times he couldn’t sit still during meditation, when the pain he’s had forever would fester during study. “Let go” she’d tell him “just let go, let the force guide you.” So he finally tries, he’s no pro but he finally got that blasted boulder he’s been trying to move for weeks to rise.
He wishes she was there to see his progress, he wish she was there so he could apologize for wasting whatever “potential” she ever saw in him. He remembers something else she would say but he never understood “there is no death, there is only the force” he never believed that, he’d seen enough death since he was born to know that death was very much real. But, sitting still by the clear stream of the ruined temple he finds himself speaking to her, saying everything he wishes he could tell her. Confessing all the pain he’s caused not only to himself but seemingly everyone he’s ever came in contact with, including her. Maybe if she picked a stronger padawan they could’ve saved her.
And after months upon months falling into years, one day while he meditates he sees a soft blue glow past his eyelids, and hears the gentle voice he had only remembered in dreams
