Could you also do an MBTI analysis on Bardock?

Of course. He’s Goku’s Saiyan father, so i guess he’s not off topic :) 

The thing is, there are two Bardocks.One is the Bardock from the TV special Father of Goku, the other one is from manga Dragon Ball Minus. I can’t type the first because his head are plagued by too much magic and dramatic shit, even his power level is abnormal, i can’t  see how it NORMALLY operated. I apologize in advance if he’s the one you want to talk about. 

Minus’ Bardock however, although the manga is very short, i could see what he used. I headcanon him as a ISTP - THE MECHANICS, with the use of Ti-Se-Ni-Fe.

Introverted Thinking (Ti) : Bardock is said to be very logical and calm in his judgment, making him the strange Saiyan in smarts. Indeed he made logical decision regarding Kakarot, rejects options that he thinks don’t work, chooses the best way, and explain reasons to others. He’s the only one who sees something bizarre in Frieza’s order, asking why was it, and why is the way Frieza’s ship is right there near the planet. 

Extroverted Sensing (Se) : Look how he CLEARLY enjoyed kicking that sonovabitch. He’s likely very natural, very engaging in fighting, seeming a respected warrior. 

Introverted Intuition (Ni) : He suddenly FELT something bad is going to happen and this urged him to take action immidiately, and it turned out to be true. 

Extraverted Feeling (Fe) : As a clever, cool-headed Saiyan he’s not likely to let feelings decide, but we can see him freely show them with smiles and expressions, even a hug for Gine, and very hearty comments about things, like the reunion and Kid Vegeta. He’s a strangely kind Saiyan, who can’t help but cares for his close people (which he grumpily said it was Gine’s fault, so it’s insecure and versatile like the way Fe is)

Some thoughts of mine : 

- I considered ENFJ, because Bardock showed VERY strong Fe, and indeed it’s so strong he’s famous for saving his comrades and is loved by them, but as he’s also very calmly logical unlike a feeling-driven ENFJ, I suppose it’s the ISTP’s inferior Fe. 

 - Kakarot clearly inherited the Se-Ni dynamite from daddy (SP types). Both are individualistic, very unique among their kind, but Goku as an F makes decisions based on whether he likes something (Fi dominant - internal ethics) or not rather than whether he sees the logic of that something (Ti dominant - internal thinking) 

- Strong Ti users like Bardock and Bulma (ESTP) usually look like they are smarter because their thinking evolves a lot of “how”s and “why”s - they want to know how things logically work, unlike Te users who just access the hard, pure external facts and takes actions (Goku, Vegeta and many others in DB) And their Fe, directed towards others, makes them look like they are kinder, too. Fi-Te is more single-minded, very domineering and self-sufficient.

- I can not identify TV special Bardock’s function stack, but it looks to me he is like most simple-minded Saiyans : ruled by personal ethical feelings that he doesn’t share - Fi, to the point he went mad and left all others behind to die as soon as they mocked him. 

- MORE ABOUT THE ISTP HERE. Personally i think they are the coolest type i’ve ever known in both real life and fiction.
