RIP <3
Wow I never knew this
no you know what sucks about this? you know what makes this hurt? Leonard Nimoy was so unproblematic. Leonard Nimoy was a month away from his next birthday. Leonard Nimoy quit smoking over thirty years ago. Leonard Nimoy showed generation upon generation how human and emotional any life form can be. Leonard Nimoy loved every project he did and appreciated his fans no matter where they came from.
Star Trek: Into Darkness + behind the scenes [x]
According to Vulcan mourning traditions, a death is mourned only if the life was wasted. Leonard Nimoy lived an incredible life and leaves behind a wonderful legacy - one of compassion, creativity, and kindness. Let’s honor his life and celebrate his legacy by making an effort to uplift and encourage our fellow travelers on this little blue planet. #LLAP
William Shatner, Zachary Quinto, Nathan Fillion and more remember Leonard Nimoy.
Goodbye to my favorite science officer.
Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock on the original Star Trek series, died today. Nimoy invented the Vulcan salute himself. He was inspired by the Jewish Priestly Blessing he had seen at an Orthodox synagogue.
It’s hard to find the words right now. Thank you Mr. Nimoy for all the joy you and Spock have brought to my life and the lives of so many others.
I love photos of Leonard Nimoy laughing, particularly in the costume and the makeup. It doesn’t take a great intellect (something he played more convincingly than anyone) to figure out why photos of Spock laughing, of the mask slipping, are appealing. It’s something you so rarely see. A naturally warm and effusive person, we know now that playing Spock took a lot out of him. It’s hard to think of a public pop culture figure I have less complicated feelings about. You don’t hear bad stories about Leonard Nimoy. You don’t hear about that friend of a friend he was rude to once on the set. He just seemed like a beautiful guy who was warm and loyal and smart and committed. I will resist the temptation to quote anything from Spock’s funeral here, but I will maybe paraphrase old Admiral Kirk and say this: Leonard Nimoy represented the very best humanity has to offer. He is irreplaceable, and he will be greatly missed.
R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy (March 26, 1931 – February 27, 2015)
"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. Live long and prosper."
RIP Leonard Nimoy, 83 (March 26, 1931 - February 27, 2015)
My blog will briefly become a Leonard Nimoy memorial page.
I am not sorry.
