My kids dad is threatening to take them away from me and I probably won't be able to do anything about it while I'm still in this hotel. I do not trust him around these kids when I'm here, much less to be alone with them. pls help me pay a break lease fee

so here’s a thing that happened

my apartment managers announced in march that they were cancelling the break-lease penalty fee because COVID

so i was like “sweet” and applied to move out

turns out they reinstated the fee without telling anybody and are back to requiring 30 days of notice

and i was like “well i have you 15 days of notice can you prorate the fee” and they were like “no fuck you”

so now i need to pay them $350 which i do not have

on account of moving

so here i am, again, begging for money on the internet i hate my life

but if anyone could help me out with this i would really appreciate it. reblogs help so much so even if you can’t help pls spread this around

btw if you're not indian and you don't live in india esp if you're white please.. please don't be quiet about the farmer's situation because you don't want to be offensive. it's harder for BJP/RSS to maintain their hold over the narrative in face of international criticism and it's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for Indians to criticise the government and have anyone listen. we're just labelled as antinational and arrested. but they can't call stephanie whitegirl american a pakistani/antinational if she posts about it on her twitter with thousands of followers.

that Rihanna tweet has done SO much for us because the propaganda peddlers look STUPID calling an incredibly wealthy American with no stake in the situation anti-national and EVERYONE can see it.

If you go look at old Mad Magazines sometimes you can see comics where Aggressive Extreme Union Workers are protesting outsourced manufacturing and it’s the union workers who are presented as conservative boors preventing progress and wanting people to buy shoddy American products out of a misplaced sense of nationalism.

Unfortunately I’ve gotten rid of my collection of Mad Magazines from the 70s so I don’t have any examples on hand but they always seemed to look like this:

And the message was always “union laborers are racist dinosaurs who are holding back progress” and I think about that framing a lot.

I’m sure there were a lot of people who opposed Chinese manufacturing because they were racist. I’m sure a lot of people who opposed outsourcing to manufacturing to China were MUCH more concerned that, due to inequality and lower labor costs in China, American manufacturing couldn’t compete with the costs of Chinese manufactured goods and that was going to lead to a tremendous loss of manufacturing jobs in the US.

(Mad also featured at least a few jokes about teamster’s unions and how they’d done their five minutes of work and were now on their union-mandated 55 minute break and. You know what. This is more discussion of unions than I got in my 12 years of US schooling. My American History classes didn’t cover massacres as strikebreaking techniques or union emphasis on worker safety. Pinkerton was a Weezer album, not the name of a company that would rent you people to brutalize your workers. The place I read about unions first was in a gross-out kids humor magazine when I was 8, and that was the most I learned about it until I was out of high school. I think about that a lot too.)

Hey so on tiktok there’s this term called Asianfishing wish confuses cause I’m blasian how can someone Asian fish? Asia is so diverse and there many indigenous groups too but anyways just seems anti black and coined from the word black fishing. People are now accusing black woman on tiktok of Asian fishing for having natural almond or slanted eyes and it pisses me off so much or using eyeliner. Like of course people use eyeliner to pretend to be Asian not saying it doesn’t happen but their only doing a makeup look just seems like Asian creators on tiktok forget blasians (like me!) exist and are just wanting I be anti black for no reason and I also saw a blasian person being accused of Asian fishing and had to show proof of their parents in photos. The anti blackness in the Asian community never surprises me anymore I’m so sick of it :/
