They HAD to write Din, Boba, and Fennec to be the kind of characters who really just try their best to mind their own business or else there would be no sequel trilogy.
Can you even imagine if Din ACTUALLY had the motivation and strive to be a protagonist character?? Din would hold his Darksaber in one hand, spear in the other (baby on his shoulder), and his posse of murder friends + every Mandalorian warrior under his rule would just kick down the front doors of the First Order and burn the whole thing to the ground before the Resistance could even BLINK.
You think kyle ron would stand a chance against GROGU??? DIN, ABSOLUTELY PISSED?? BOBA?? FENNEC? MANDO ARMY??? NO WAY!!
The First Order is dismantled overnight and when they barge into Resistance headquarters Boba gets to rub it in Han, Luke and Leia’s faces for the rest of their lives
