Most "sheithy" episodes? Like, all the sheith moments. I just want to watch them on repeat and cry until season 5. ;_;
Top Sheith episodes, here we go:
Honorable mentions go to The Belly of the Weblum for that amazing first sheith hug, and The Journey for that lovely reunion between Kuron and Keith. As for the rest:
- 10) The Rise of Voltron: Hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere. So why not where it all began? Especially when you get that lovely first reunion, the initial “It’s good to have you back,” “It’s good to be back,” “Patience yields focus,” that cute scene at the end where Shiro pat him on the back and they look at each other really fondly, ect
- 9) The Arc of Traujeer: Shiro worrying when Keith and Allura take off and “Good to have you back” exchange #2. Also that sweet moment at the start where Shiro pulls Keith aside and asks him if everything’s alright. Of course if anyone would notice how anxious and distraught Keith is, it’s Shiro
- 8) Tailing a Comet: We check in on Kuron to see how he’s been recovering, and realize Keith has been the only one tending his bedside all this time. A nice quiet heart to heart. We get Kuron teasing Keith about always running to his rescue– “How many times are you gonna have to save me before this is over?” And Keith’s resolute, “As many times as it takes.” Also Kuron attempting to mimic Shiro’s way of comforting Keith at the end, though the moment clearly feels hollow.
- 7) The Black Paladin: Last episode of season 1, and Keith is reluctant to go save Allura. He doesn’t think a rescue mission is worth the risk. But then about 10 minutes later he’s breaking from the rest of the team because Shiro’s in trouble. Keith protects Shiro’s lion in a solo fight with Zarkon and nearly gets himself killed before Shiro shows up to save him in turn. And you get that sweet moment were Black picks up Red and Shiro just yells, “I’ve got you, buddy!”
- 6) Code of Honor: Focuses quite a bit on Keith and Kuron’s rocky relationship, and you can’t help but feel torn up over it. Shows how Keith and Kuron put so much faith in each other and yet are unable to trust themselves. Ends with Keith confessing how much “Shiro’s” support means to him and the Heartfelt Hug version 2.0
- 5) The Red Paladin: Keith coming to terms with the fact that he’ll have to pilot Black lion and finally getting back in her seat again for Shiro’s sake. Includes that heart-wrenching moment where he tries talking as if Shiro’s right there beside him–“I know this is what you wanted for me, Shiro. But I’m not you. I can’t lead them like you,” “Please no,” and “This one’s for you, Shiro.”
- 4) Blackout: The final battle with Zarkon and all the sad stuff that comes with it. Highlights include: Keith and Shiro shown with each other’s lions in the background as they lie unconscious–unlike all the other paladins who are completely alone, the way Shiro calls out all their names and then saves Keith’s for last and just says it so soft and determinedly, Keith rallying the others to protect Shiro, BOTH OF THEM USING THEIR BAYARDS TO FORM BLAZING SWORD AND ATTACK IN PERFECT SYNC, and Keith desperately calling out for Shiro as he runs to the Black lion as fast as he can
- 3) Across the Universe: Shiro and Keith stranded on the same planet, so close yet so far. It’s just so damn painful to watch them struggle to reach each other, swearing they’re fine even as they dangle off the each of a cliff or suffer a fatal wound just so they don’t make each other worry. Keith telling Shiro how much he changed his life and vowing to come save him, that first time he pilots Black in a last ditch effort to protect the person he loves–Shiro saying he wants Keith to lead Voltron and adamantly refusing because, “You’re gonna make it.” The way Shiro can’t help but smile a little in response, touched by Keith’s reassurance
- 2) Changing the Guard: KEITH MOURNING SHIRO ALL THESE MONTHS LATER, still carrying the grief and searching for Shiro without rest, knowing full well he’ll stop at nothing to save this boy. Again, really sad, but we feel Shiro’s loss entirely through Keith, and it’s just so melancholy
- 1) BLADE OF MARMORA: “Your friend desperately wants to see you,” cue lots of sheith bonding and heartbreak and Keith’s feelings for Shiro laid out bare and bleeding. Hurts my heart and made me tear up the first time I saw it. Still makes me feel things
