“You can’t win - I have the high ground.”
I'm NOT gonna say it again
SEASONINGS include herbs and spices, along with minerals and chemicals used to season food!!!! Salt, citric acid, and MSG, are all examples of seasonings that are NOT herbs or spices!
HERBS are flavorful leaves. Only. Leaves. Doesn't matter if its dried, fresh, whole, or ground, if it is a leaf, it is an herb
SPICES are flavorful parts of plants that are NOT LEAVES. These include seeds, berries, stems, bark, roots, flowers, buds... NOT LEAVES

So I found this app called Scan Halal where you scan the bar code of your food and it tells you if its halal or not. It’s a free app too. Pass this on so others can see and worry a little less about their food/snack choices
imagine trump just dying from covid-19. imagine trump dying alone in a hospital bed and going to hell. Imagine trump and pence burning forever in Hell for murdering 80,000 people in just a month and a half. That’s seeming more and more likely as time goes on here.

You know what absolutely boggles my mind? That healthy people exist. Genuinely healthy people. No mental illness, no physical illness, no chronic illness. Just healthy. What a life that must be.

With the entire shit going on with South Dakota’s governer, it’s great to see my tribe respond with basically “respect the treaties and your own state’s constitution for fucking once, and stop this petty bullshit so we can actually save our tribal members from the virus.”
Like. Fantastic. ✅
Here’s the message from this pain in the ass governer.
And my tribe’s response
Get wreaked.

Star Wars isn’t about the plot, the writing, the characters, the Jedis, the Sith, or the Force. Its about the muppets aliens in the background. Thats it.

A friend on another social media platform shared an op-ed from the NY Times about people who identify as being “Weird Christians” and… I feel… odd about it. I’m pretty sure this is just a resurgence of the same thing that made some people want to be hipsters and loudly shout about being hipsters, instead of just being chill and enjoying some folk music.
As someone raised Christian and who is also trying to figure out how religion and I fit together, I respect people being on their own journeys to find their place, but to claim that by liking “radical” things like Latin Mass or medieval chants or Gothic cathedrals they are “Weird” (with a capital W), feels very cringe. Like they want a cookie for liking old things, which aren’t honestly all that old. (If it’s not pre-1000 AD, it’s not that old for religion.) These aren’t Christians combining folk magic or other spiritual practices into their worship or beliefs… they’re just… some kind of traditionalists, as far as I can tell?
I don’t understand this and it makes me feel really annoyed in ways that don’t make sense to me. I’m not usually a “get on my high religious horse” kind of woman, but this has me feeling some kind of way.
Wow. So it feels to me like somebody’s trying to point fingers and “other” certain people, but is also trying to sound super educated about it. It just comes off as being judgmental and holier-than-thou… especially considering that some of the things talked about have NEVER GONE AWAY
The thing that got me is when they described it as PUNK. It ain’t punk, folks. Wearing a veil to Latin Mass isn’t punk.
