luke was never seen again in public after this
Luke getting adopted by the entire cast and Lucifer having adopted every single one of his younger siblings.
Luke’s age
Since people try to debate the age/maturity of Luke, let me compile a little list of some of the CANON evidence to Luke being considered a child/not mature.
!!!!May contain what some considers to be minor spoilers btw!!!!
From RAD NEWS, THIRD VOLUME:
There is also direct evidence that claims that Luke did not know the brothers beforehand(during their time as Angels that is), as Satan came into existence after the Fall but is stated to be older than Luke.
Simeon refers to Luke being an actual child by Angel standards, which is important information. He is also listed as Luke’s legal guardian, which testifies to the fact that he is not considered mentally/emotionally mature. Simeon even gives him a bedtime in which he needs to go to bed, which is not something an adult would decide for another adult.
He is referred to being immature and innocent so often in the content that revolves around him.
Barbatos about Luke:
Solomon even comments about how Simeon, who is the only other angel there, views Luke:
Literally everyone in canon thinks of Luke as being a child or child-like, and treats him as such! Even the devs have pointed out that his intimacy system is not in the same context as the others, WHICH MEANS THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO THINK OF HIM IN ANY OTHER WAY THAN PLATONICALLY
BOTTOM LINE IS: YOU ARE ACTIVELY DISCOURAGED FROM VIEWING LUKE AS BEING IN ANY SHAPE, WAY OR FORM LIKE THE REST OF THE CAST BC HE IS LITERALLY JUST SOME KID.
Not gentle reminder that we don’t ship with or lewd Luke on this blog and unkindly, unfollow me if you do.
Reblogging because there's people out there who are still trying to justify being attracted to Luke / creating NSFW content about him
Also, here's a small addition to this post, from Nightbringer:
Luke himself recognizes that he is, in fact, not an adult and doesn't understand them.
TH👁️IR E Y👁️S
I just saw your post about their ages in human years and I thought it was pretty accurate to what I had in mind too!
Do you have a headcanon for their heights too?
Hii
I did always have a headcanon for their heights but it was never really in numbers and more of just a visual of it and their differences in size?
This ask motivated me to give them actual heights though, so here it is:
Or: Lucifer (6' 6"), Leviathan (6' 4"), and Mammon (6' 2")
Or: Beel (6' 7"), Satan (6' 3"), Belphie (5' 11"), and Asmo (5' 10")
Or... Diavolo (6' 8") and Barbatos (6' 1")
Or: Solomon (6' 2"), Simeon (6' 2"), and Luke (4' 11")
I feel like everyone could use a hug and someone to just cry on. Who do you most want to do that for?
Everything we know about Michael so far, lore wise.
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR ALL SEASONS
➤ He's an high-ranking angel from the Celestial Realm, more specifically a Seraph. (nb: 18-2 and nb card: Luke - "I can do it too!")
➤ His love for sweets is the reason Luke took interest in baking. (swd: 5-12 and 23-5)
➤ He and Lucifer were equals in the Celestial Realm and no other angel shared the same status as them. Simeon referred to them back then as "the two great leaders of the Celestial Realm's legion of angels." (swd: 23-7) But currently Michael carries that position alone. (swd: 23-5)
➤ He was supposed to meet MC when they visited the Celestial Realm with Solomon but couldn't because a secret spring suddenly started drying and Michael had to go there to investigate the situation. (swd: 23-7)
➤ He used to be Mammon's mentor and tried his best to train the white-haired brother while in charge of him but wasn't able to figure out how to handle him and eventually went to Lucifer asking for help. And since Lucifer was somehow able to get Mammon to listen to him, he ended up taking over Michael's role and became his mentor instead. (swd: 27-19)
➤ He was originally the one in possession of the Ring of Wisdom but gave the ring to Solomon at a time when the human was feeling "lost" and Michael wanted to help him. (swd: 29-5)
➤ During MC's 2° stay in the Devildom when Diavolo was keeping secret from everyone that their powers had become a threat to the three realms, Michael sent the prince a message through Simeon, warning him that if whatever he was keeping a secret affected the Celestial Realm, angels wouldn't hesitate to intervene. (swd: 31-16 Hard Mode)
➤ He's the one who found the Ring of Light, counterpart to the Ring of Wisdom that Lucifer had lost during the Great Celestial War (swd: 37-9), and quickly noticed it was missing when Simeon stole it to give it to MC ( since it was the only other way to control their powers ), shooting the other angel a text stating that they needed to have a "good, long talk" and that he wanted to see him as soon as possible. (swd chat: M, "untitled")
➤ When MC was given the Ring of Light and fell unconscious because of it, Michael appeared to speak with them. And during their talk, the seraph told MC that he had pictured them to be truly wicked person due to being so well-liked by the brothers, but that he had been proven wrong after meeting them. (swd: 38-17)
➤ In that same conversation, Michael confessed to being jealous of MC. He told them: "I must admit that I'm jealous of you, MC. I wish I could have been more like you. Because I loved Lucifer and his brothers, and I lost them. Perhaps things could have been different..." (swd: 38-17)
➤ When asked, Satan explained to MC that Michael was the opposite of Lucifer appearance-wise but that they felt like twins at the same time. And when Mammon brought up Michael's adoration for Lucifer, Satan chimed in saying that in his opinion the reason Michael liked Lucifer so much was because he was the embodiment of everything he wanted to be but couldn't. (swd: 43-19)
➤ He would be the one having meetings with Diavolo when the prince took over the kingdom if he hadn't thrown the responsibility onto Lucifer in the last minute, making Michael in a way the stepping stone that led Lucifer to question his faith and start having doubts about God and the Celestial Realm in general. (swd: 44-15)
➤ When MC ended up in the past Celestial Realm through a dream Solomon sent them to accidentally by feeding them his food, Michael was the one to bring them back home. The angel told MC that they and the brothers would likely forget what happened in the dream but that it would still have an effect on all of them and he would keep an eye on them to make sure that said effect didn't have negative consequences in the future. (swd: 44-18)
➤ Luke told MC that he often found Michael in the hall where the brothers' portraits used to hang staring at the empty space, lost in thought. According to the small angel, Michael to this day still deeply misses the brothers and has regrets about the war. (swd: 49-15)
➤ He was the one to cast out the brothers from the Celestial Realm and send them to the Devildom. (swd: 50-7)
➤ According to Mammon, Michael and Simeon must've pulled some strings behind the scenes to get Luke to participate in the exchange program and be able to visit the Human World with Simeon because, with his low ranking, he'd never be the one chosen for those sorts of things and the Avatar of Greed is convinced that they're doing this because they want Luke to experience life outside the Celestial Realm, see that there's more out there than heaven, and stop thinking that angels are perfect beings who can do no wrong. (swd: 50-10)
➤ He's knowledgeable on constellations and likes them so much he had Raphael rebuilt a whole room so Human World constellations could be seen even from the Celestial Realm. (swd: 52-7) He also taught Mammon about them when he was still in his care, and later on taught Luke as well. (swd: 50-12)
➤ It was actually he who went into the Devildom and told the brothers that they had been forgiven by God and had to choose between staying in the demonic kingdom ( and making an enemy out of heaven ) or coming back to the Celestial Realm and leaving Satan behind. And in a conversation with Raphael, Michael said the reason for his disguise was that he was worried about what could happen if he showed up as himself. But Raphael quickly rebutted that by saying that the true reason Michael didn't go as himself was because he wouldn't know how to act around the brothers. (nb: 20-14 Hard Mode)
➤ Still disguised as Raphael before going back to the Celestial Realm, Michael told Luke that he wasn't surprised that the brothers didn't accept his offer to go back to heaven and actually knew that would be the outcome of it. He was also surprised not too long after when Luke, not knowing it wasn't Raphael who he was talking to, pointed out that Michael seemed sad and lonely whenever he was staring at the wall where the brothers' portraits used to be. Michael's exact response to the younger angel's words was: "...I didn't realize that's what people thought.” (nb: 20-A)
➤ When asked by Raphael if he planned to attend RAD in the future, Michael avoided giving an direct answer and left. (nb: 20-14 Hard Mode)
please rb after voting :D
I'm sorry, but it's literally Luke.
And I'm not even talking about the silly teasing, this poor kid was raised in a post-war world where many people died, and he was looked after by two angels ( Simeon & Michael ) who were very personally affected by said war due to the fact that they were so close to Lucifer and his siblings.
So we have "there was a war right before I was born and the entire realm was still dealing with the aftermath of it while I was growing up" + "said war was caused by my two guardians' brothers, and led by someone who before was admired by the entire realm" + "my two guardians still deeply miss those brothers but I can't comprehend why because I'm a child and they are TRAITORS" + "I was thrown into a realm I've never been in, where demons want to hurt me AND I was made to study in the same school as those traitors who hurt my loved ones so much both in the past and the present"
And like...even if Barbatos has some tragic ass backstory, he currently seems fine? Like, man happily lives in a castle with his adopted son, he's satisfied with his job, and he's definitely not in the same situation he used to be.
Also what Luke went through in S4????
((((((Spoilers ahead‼️))))))
Poor boy found out that his beloved father/parent figure, who raised him ever since he was a baby, is now a human. A simple mortal, who's now in a much more vulnerable situation and needs to be protected by everyone around him.
And all because Simeon dared to save Lucifer.
Because of that, he was punished with the curse of mortality, by the same people Luke so vehemently trusted to be good and believed in.
This child's entire world view is literally crushing down on him.
So yes, Luke suffers the most. Definitely. 😶
Solomon, Satan, Simeon, Luke & MC: *studying for a magic studies assignment together*
Solomon: *helping MC with a spell* There it is, you did it.
*smiles* You're my best student, you know? As your teacher, you make me proud.
MC: He says as if his other students weren't all dead.
Simeon: *spits out his drink*
Satan: ...! *tries to stifle a laugh*
Luke: *big gasp* MC, you can't say that! And you two, don't laugh...!!
Solomon: No Luke, it's fine. 🥲
Hey, remember these chats? 👀
Like please, I can't tell you how much I love the idea that they actually followed up with this and ended up becoming one of the most popular channels in the whole Devildom.
Their channel name could be just "HoL" ( because House of Lamentation, y'know? )
I can imagine demons going to watch a video just for MC out of curiosity because of course, they're interested in seeing what the human living with the Seven Rulers of Hell is like ( or they're simply going for the brothers since they're pretty much celebrities in the Devildom and have many fans already ). But then they end up enjoying the content, MC's personality and dynamic with the brothers and become die-hard fans 🤭
And what this could bring to the Devildom? It would be amazing! Because think about it, demons would be tuning in, watching MC, and unconsciously becoming more tolerant and accepting of humans. Because although the Devildom consumes human media such as music, movies, anime, etc, they don't really have the chance to see what an actual human is like ( how they navigate ordinary situations, interact with others, their sense of humor, etc ) due to the fact that they have their own social media and streaming platforms with no humans in it. Because again, why would demons go through the trouble of having YouTube, Twitch, or IG when they have perfectly good demon content creators to follow and obsess over on their own demonic platforms?
And going back to the silly side of things, these idiots ( affectionately ) would make such good content. Like the brothers mention in the chats👆, there would be gaming content with Levi, ASMRs with Beel, beauty videos with Asmo, scandal worthy stories with Satan & Belphie, etc. And not to mention other series they could do, for example: pranking videos of the brothers messing with each other would be fucking hilarious, Beel's workout routine tutorials would bomb, MC, Mammon & Levi doing stupid challenges, Satan raging while roasting shit books, the angels and Solomon showing up as guests on multiple videos ( which would also help the audience grow more accepting of non-demons ), and videos with the whole crew together would be just the most chaotic shit ever. Like, look at the variety!
It's funny because I've always liked the idea of MC becoming a streamer/content creator on the Devildom ( there are multiple streamer!mc posts on my page ) but I didn't even remember these chats existed till I went to revisit the og game stuff.
Fucking amazing. Yes, I'd watch the shit out of that channel.
MC: Me and Sat just saw Mammon racing down the halls carrying Luke on his back, what's going on?
Simeon: Oh, yes... *chuckles* Apparently Mammon didn't have enough money to buy Luke a birthday gift, so he offered to carry him around anywhere he wanted for the whole day.
Satan: Oh.
Solomon: Luke was embarrassed to accept it at first, but now he's having a blast bossing Mammon around and having him carry him to all sort of different places. It's adorable, haha.
Satan: Pff, I guess that explains why Mammon looked so dead when we saw them. He must tired from all the running around.
MC: *gasp* I have an idea!
Simeon: Oh?
MC: Sat, carry me!
Satan: What? Why??
MC: So we can go and challenge them to a race!
Satan: Wh, what are you? A child?!
MC: Come on, it'll be fun!
Satan: I'm not going to carry you around the school just so you can participate in some stupid and childish game, MC. That's something only an idiot would do.
MC: Damn it...
Solomon: ✋ I'll do it. I'll be the idiot.
Satan: What-
MC: Yessss!!
Random Obey Me! Headcanons Part 2
- During the first year of the exchange program and when MC couldn't fend for themselves yet, the only way they were allowed out of the house "alone" was with Cerberus accompanying them. And when I tell you the hellhound did an amazing job at protecting them… all it took was a slightly off-putting stare at MC for it to send back the most terrifying glare and loud growl at the demon eyeing them. These outings of theirs once resulted in a pretty infamous picture going viral, where MC was mindlessly buying ice cream at a stall while Cerberus was beside them giving off the most ominous aura as all its heads glared at someone off-screen. You can imagine all the memes that came from it.
- When Satan was a baby he used to have constant nightmares about the war and would always wake up screaming and crying, waking up everyone with him. Because of this Lucifer would have to stay up at ungodly hours of the night trying everything he could to calm him down, having to rock the tiny demon in his arms for hours around the corridors till he eventually went back to sleep. At some point Diavolo suggested that he read for Satan, as it was a less energy-draining method. And although Lucifer didn't really see the point given that Satan was a baby and couldn't even understand words yet, he gave it a shot anyway. It ended up working, to both his relief and surprise.
- When Mammon first realized he could both understand and tell crows what to do he thought he was going insane. And the brothers were all sure he was lying when he first told them of his ability, having to see firsthand Mammon order around an army of crows as if it was nothing. They were definitely left speechless that day.
- Asmo has a podcast where he mainly talks with other famous influencers from the Devildom and demons in the fashion or music industry. All the brothers participated in an episode at some point, and so did MC, the Purgatory Hall crew, and Diavolo.
- If MC has a similar clothing style to Mammon's, he'll let them have the clothes he doesn't use anymore. And there's a TON of them, since he buys so many just out of greed and never bothers wearing them more than two or three times.
- A few months into the exchange program Diavolo came up with an idea to have the whole gang ( HoL, Purgatory Hall, and the Demon Lord's Castle ) meet up monthly to hang out, have dinner together, etc. It was another way he found to strengthen the bonds between everyone, and no one was allowed to miss it. In the beginning it was a chore to participate but now everyone gets excited when the end of the month starts coming around and they can meet again.
- This one time when the brothers were all drunk playing stupid games together they decided that whoever ended up last would have to get an embarrassing tattoo of whatever the others chose. Belphie lost, and to this day the brothers still crack up whenever they catch a glimpse of the small tattoo on his rib that reads "baby of the family". Belphie always gets pissy about it, making them tease him even more.
- ( Spoilers for lesson 16 ) I went into more detail about this in another post but I believe MC also carries memories from the Celestial War because of their connection to Lilith. And this is something that brings them closer to Satan, since as mentioned before, he also has memories of that time but from Lucifer's perspective. Aka, trauma bonding ✨
- Following the tattoo headcanon, Belphie definitely lied to MC about the rib tattoo at first since they didn't couldn't understand Infernal and didn't know what it said. Man 100% told them it meant something else and made up some deep story behind it to make himself look cool or whatever. But it all came crumbling down when everyone went on a trip to the beach and the brothers brought up his "adorable tattoo". He never felt so embarrassed in his life.
- Ever since finding out about pride month, Asmo made it into a thing to visit the human realm every year to celebrate it by going to the biggest parade happening that year. And he always drags the brothers with him, making sure to pick outfits for Belphie, Beel, and Lucifer since none of them know how to "dress properly for pride." He just can't let what happened the first time they went happen again, with everyone at the parade wearing colorful and beautifully elaborate clothing while these 3 looked completely out of place ( Lucifer was wearing a full black suit, just so you have an idea. So yeah, he was sticking out in the crowd like crazy ).
- As a joke, every time Father's Day comes up the characters go around giving Lucifer, Barbatos, and Simeon shitty gifts and wishing them "Happy Father's Day". But not Beel, who even though knows everyone's doing it for a bit, still gives them a genuine gift and a sincere smile every time. Because let's be honest, these three deserve some actual acknowledgment for raising their troublesome children-not-children. ( Fun fact: Diavolo gives Barbatos both a gag gift and an actual one, and Luke gives Simeon a gift while trying to make it seem like he's just doing it for the joke, though it's obvious he means it. )
- Long ago when anime wasn't a thing yet Levi used to be obsessed with marine life. He had extensive knowledge of it and would be pulling random ocean facts out of nowhere and leaving everyone confused. And he absolutely loved sharks, like, you know those people that'll go into great detail to explain why our perception of sharks is fucked and they're actually sweethearts? Yup, that was Levi. Also, if you said your favorite animals were dolphins? Oh, you'd be seeing the most disgusted look show up on his face. ( He'd too explain that dolphins are evil and why you shouldn't like them at all, completely ruining your view of them )
- Since Asmo, Beel, and Levi are represented by cold-blooded animals ( a scorpion, a fly, and a serpent ) I headcanon that they can't generate a lot of body heat and touching their skin when it's cold would feel like coming in contact with freezing ice and definitely not the move if you're looking for warmth. Lucifer, Mammon, Satan, and Belphie though? These 4 become MC's personal heaters when winter comes around, and you better bet they're demanding cuddles from all of them ( cold-blooded gang be jealous as fuck of this ).
- Solomon puts weird shit on what he cooks on purpose just to fuck with everyone. His grandpa ass finds it absolutely hilarious how everyone tries to keep him away from the kitchen at all costs while simultaneously doing everything to avoid outright saying his cooking is terrible because they don't want to hurt his feelings. Because come on, how does a man who's lived this long on his own not know how to cook? He can follow strict instructions to make the weirdest potions ever but not a recipe to make a simple dinner? Nah, I don't buy it. He definitely knows how to cook and does a decent job at making food for himself when he wants to.
Asmo: MC, I noticed you love wearing that hoodie but you never actually have the hood up.
Mammon: Oh yeah, I don't think I've ever seen ya fully wear that.
MC: Do you want me to put it on?
Everyone: *nods*
MC: *puts it on and everyone sees it has cat ears on it*
All 11 of them: *collectively die from cuteness*
Luke: Wha-
MC: That's why I don't use it up, it holds too much power...
Luke: *speechless*
MC: Anyway, wanna get a matching one? 😊
Luke: ...
Yes, please.
When you're low on Grimm:
Simeon: Tell me, if you could choose between being a demon or angel, which one would you chose?
MC: *no hesitation* Oh, demon. Definitely.
Luke: What, why?!
MC: Sorry Luke, I just don't think I'd make a very good angel...
Simeon: MC... Why would you think that...?
MC: I can't follow orders, and I curse too much.
Solomon: *snickers*
