“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.” --Carl Sagan.
Wholock art request from themarauderstookthetardis.
Recently I’ve come across these science articles about space and the universe and things, and strangely enough they always make me want to cry because the vastness and wonder and beauty of it all just reminds me exactly how insignificant we all really are in comparison on this on this little blue dot of ours. It strikes me as absolutely amazing that we are able to open our eyes and during our relatively brief lifetime discover and come to know this world we live in, before we close our eyes again forever. I just wish I could be there to see what becomes of humanity and the universe in the end.
I also wish I could draw straight lines.
Hiatus - a short fic
Full story under the cut.
Thanks to indil-thaurdin, sherlocks-poppy, oorusevenfiibaa7777, windmaedchen, and mysteryontilt for expressing interest. I know I said 550 words but the ending I had didn’t seem satisfactory so now it’s 800 words.
Now, I don’t write nearly as much as I draw, so I may not have executed this as well as I would have liked. Two people I’ve already shown this to couldn’t guess the crux of the story, so I may have been too subtle. Or they just don’t have the right mindset. Anyway, I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you think this is about. Points to those who deduce correctly, it’s not entirely devoid of hints, I hope...

“A confederate—and even that one glance had told me how dangerous a man that confederate was—had kept guard while the Professor had attacked me. From a distance, unseen by me, he had been a witness of his friend's death and of my escape.”
They didn’t leave Watson alone after Reichenbach 1891.
Another extract from that thing I’ve been writing for the past year.
More previews to come under my #TToSH script tag.
A thing I’ve been writing in my spare time for the past year--seriously the longest time I’ve spent working on any one piece of work. 35,000 words so far. I guess this keeps me sane from law studies. Hopefully someday I’ll finish it and be able to share the whole thing with all of you (unless someone wants to be my editor because that would be so amazing).
More previews to come under my #TToSH script tag. Who can guess what it stands for?
