Color on the tattoo needs work, also need to adjust the line width on the outline. But not bad at all for a first attempt, and the bandana came out fantastic.

so annoyed these helmets sold out before I could buy more. decals for the earcups went on no problem. I might paint the mask part, I don't care for it being gray. We'll see. Chest decals still need work, as do the leg parts. Why are his fuckass legs so hard to do? because god hates me.

Another day wondering why on earth they killed off Tech to have next to no engagement with it in Season 3. The dude was right behind Omega and Hunter, the center points of the show, on screen time, is killed off, and...that's it? A couple seconds in episode 5 is all we get?

No memorial on Pabu. No one talking about him, rather than his skills, until Phee does in episode **12**. He doesn't even come up in the most important argument in the whole season, Crosshair and Hunter's rehashing of the disastrous Eriadu mission. THE DUDE WHO DIED ON THAT MISSION DOESN'T COME UP. JUST LOSING OMEGA.

sigh. season 3 could have been great and instead it was a study in wandering around not actually doing much of anything interesting plot wise. numerous plot threads left laying around or cut off in weird ways. CXes brutally murdered instead of continued attempts to undo Hemlock's work. Rex vanishing. Phee sidelined into barely being present despite Pabu being a centerpoint of the show. (Phee having NO emotional reaction to Pabu being attacked????)

sorry to anyone who liked S3 but. I can only see a show which was doing quite well and then just tossed out almost anything good about it.

My feelings exactly.

I stand by the theory that there was supposed to be a 4th season, which got canceled. So they had to try and stuff 2 seasons worth of story into 16 episodes.

CX-2 WAS SUPPOSED TO BE TECH. I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL.

Like I do really like season three a lot. Lots of great amounts and such. BUT I too fully believe Tech was supposed to be CX-2. I fully believe he was supposed to have a winter soldier arc. Like of all the clones that would be valuable to Hemlock, Tech would be a literal goldmine for him. You can’t tell me, he wouldn’t have tried or even used Tech. He threw his glasses at Hunter. You can’t tell me Tech isn’t just chilling in a lab somewhere!

Hell Echo was blown up! And he survived. Hooked up to all those wires.

Tech is alive somewhere. That’s my personal opinion.

Now, I would like to play devil's advocate here, and I have a few weak points, but they should still be pointed out.

-in modern media, something that tends to be written in is characters being revived for the sole reason of a reunion. This doesn't make sense, and is very frustrating, especially when they have already completed their arc and don't start a new one. They are just there and don't have a purpose . Echo was revived and he was then given a new arc. I think that they kept tech dead because they didn't want to have him revived for no core reason. CX-2 would have been a good way to give him a purpose for revival, I will agree. But, in one of my other points you will see how that wouldn't have worked because of the laws of gravity. Tech had completed his story. So they let him stay dead instead of giving him a whole new story, which I think may have been better in the end

-while I can't excuse the argument between Hunter and crosshair not bringing up the loss of tech, I do think that a good reason they didn't mention him to much is because of the fact that for a good chunk of it, they where focused on getting omega back OR omega is captive and is more focused on getting out then mourning. There is also the fact that there was a time skip in between, that could have been the time they took to mourn, and an episode like that would have not been pushing the story forward, only dwelling on the past. While it would show the characters on a more emotional level, it would have done close to nothing for the story, and if morphofan is correct, and there was supposed to be 4 seasons but the squished 3+4 together, then they would have definitely had to cut that out for time.

-echo being revived actually makes a lot of sense, mainly the fact of how he was revived. Kept alive by machines? Lost his legs and arm in an explosion? Yes, he could be revived. But the fall tech suffered? No. One of my favorite books, which gives details on the ways people died in Yellowstone National Park (the book is called death in Yellowstone) they have a section about deaths from falling/heights. Read through that chapter and you will soon learn that the fall could have easily killed him, or if he didn't die, the time it would've taken to get to him would've. He would have had around 5 minutes after he landed that he could still be alive, and I don't think that his body was found that fast. "Well they could bring him back to life!" His body would have been so mangled and destroyed that there would be no ways to same him. Genuinely.

I do have the rare opinion of thinking that Tech staying dead was the better thing to do with all of the factors, but I do agree that they should have mentioned him more, and maybe even do a little memorial. Not just the glasses.

, I do think that a good reason they didn't mention him to much is because of the fact that for a good chunk of it, they where focused on getting omega back OR omega is captive and is more focused on getting out then mourning

The problem here is, it's not just about the characters and how they process. It's about how the audience processes. You must give them a vehicle to do so, or the death in your story is literally a narrative beat. Another narrative beat with similar ramifications: losing the Marauder. Season 2 hilighted the importance of it as their home. Season 3, it gets blown up, and LITERALLY NO ONE CARES! Not even a tiny bit. There's not a single sad moment of Omega going 'our home'. Season 3 is chock FULL of this problem--not giving the audience processing via the story.

As I said, there were numerous other ways to do this, and they weren't done. It's not good writing.

But the fall tech suffered? No.

This is not supported by the following instances:

Vesna Vulović; Ivan Chisov; Nicholas Alkemade; Christine McKenzie; Bear Grylls

This is not to say it's unreasonable to say he died--but I do not agree it's less reasonable than it is with Echo. It's the same. What is the narrative purpose of death vs. survival, that's what actually matters. The 'likelihood' is, frankly, irrelevant, as Star Wars has shown time and again with Gregor (blown up, twice!), Echo (also blown up), Maul (cut in half, literally), Asajj, Anakin... Even Shaak Ti and Ayla are alive now (from a comic).

It doesn't make more sense for ANY of these people to be alive than it does for Tech, because this is the Resurrection IP. It's fine to take issue with that and want something to stick, but that's not an objective view, nor is the claim his death is 'less reasonable because gravity' and presenting it as one as opposed to what it is--your opinion--is a problem I have with how a lot of the fandom treats Tech's death.

Compassionately shuffling Good Omens fans toward picking up Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. You will recognize his voice instantly, and love it.

Seconded. Read any of them and you'll know.

Terry is no more magic than Neil was. I don’t know any thing bad of Terry but 4 years ago I didn’t know anything bad about Neil. Humans shouldn’t make other humans into idols.

That said, read Discworld. I love that world and you will recognise a lot about it.

i have understood so many things about online leftist culture by the fact that when i said "your local community has people you will morally and politically disagree with but you cannot lock them out of accessing any tangible service you’re organising" one of the tags responding said "this isn’t about proshippers in here you’re not welcome" like. folks. focus with me. some of us are homeless here.

There's a disconnect happening here because the primary function of social media for most casual users is to form a circle of friends around the usual things that friendships are built on: shared interests and lifestyles and ideas of what is important and what is unacceptable. When people are mainly doing leftism on social media, this encourages thinking of leftism as centered around establishing high-minded social clubs.

For anyone who still isn't getting it from someone who helps people IRL: There's a difference between whom you're helping to feed at the mealshare and whom you're choosing to hang out with for fun after the mealshare. You don't have to invite a hungry person with opinions you don't like to play board games with you, but you do have to help keep them from starving if you're serious about leftist organizing.

In Rescue on Ryloth, Tech says that "children often overreact" when Hera calls for help. Anyway how many of us think cadet Tech expressed concern over something and was told to stop overreacting by an adult so he internalized that experience?

Not only that, I think he learned to be outwardly calm because the Kaminoans threatened to decommission him over his childhood meltdowns.

OH MY GOD NOW IT’S WORSE

I appreciate your analysis and this is such good analysis, but I’m HURTING this is hitting way too close to home 😭

I said it because it happened to me too. I miss Tech and this is my way of connecting and understanding him. Also, I'm rewatching the series and things like this have more meaning now that I'm unpacking more of my own childhood and trying to be nicer. That said, I made myself cry. Cadet Tech you deserve the world and it's okay to have a strong reaction to uncertain things.

@heyclickadee just reblogging for your tags. All of this. You cope and get through it because the alternative is awful.

every piece of ""autistic representation"" in hollywood sucks not just because of the infantalization and inspiration porn but because movie executives always fail to realize the real universal autistic experience: spending your childhood slowly and unfalteringly realizing all of your friends not so secretly hated and/or merely tolerated you at best and you've missed every social signal about it ever

there is nothing quite as damaging as realizing you were the only one not invited to a classmate's birthday party. the only one left out of yearbook photos. the only one not told about an in-joke or groupchat or anything of the sort. once you experience it even once it fucks with your head for the rest of your days

the variation on this is being treated like you're everyone's weird and vaguely amusing autistic pet rather than a human person with independent agency and autonomy, which. is equally psychologically damaging but like in a different genre of way

Technically…

It’s BEAUTIFUL. STUNNING. GORGEOUS. Uzuriart crushed it. Again. This is my 4th commission from Uzuriart and I’m always blown away.

As stated in a previous post, every year on January 1st, I change my ig profile pic. I pick a character who I connected with and impacted me the previous year. I’ve always loved Tech but with The Bad Batch ending last year, this was the obvious choice for 2025. I know Tech wasn’t there for the final season but his presence was never more apparent. The finale of season 2 still guts me. Plan 99. Tech made the ultimate sacrifice for his family but he lives on in all of us. What an incredible group of characters that Star Wars gave us. And Dee Bradley Baker. What a legend. Thank you.

This makes my heart so happy. Thank you again Uzuriart.

May the force be with each and every one of us in 2025.

Tech lives.

It would be no exaggeration to say that the wedding of Fire Lord Zuko and Master Katara of the Southern Water Tribe was the wedding of the century. On their own, the happy couple would have preferred a more modest celebration, but being a world leader and a distinguished former ambassador, in addition to war heroes, necessitated otherwise. Family, friends, political allies, and members of the nobility from all across the globe received invitations and descended upon the Fire Nation. Even the Avatar himself, acting as officiant, was in attendance.

They were married at sunset on the Spring Equinox - halfway between Winter and Summer, and halfway between day and night. During the reception that followed, the fireworks were interrupted by the sudden, and unprecedented, appearance of the celestial lights dancing across the sky (it is said that they could be seen around the world - perhaps a message of congratulations from the Moon Spirit? It is rumored that she and the bride were once friends).

Through it all, the bride and groom only had eyes for each other, as if the crowd of thousands wasn’t even there.
