Confrontation in the Cabin [Open RP]
The Reptilitones all froze as an eerie silence fell over the cabin, and Gawain slowly raised his head. Old bike…? A cold pit of fear began to manifest in his hollow chest. No…no, that couldn’t mean-
…….
Lance had kept the old thing, but surely Arthur wouldn’t have tried to start it up?
Gawain stood up so fast, he dumped the poor Reptilitone in his lap to the floor. In a flash, the ghost was at the window - one hand wiping away the conjured dust to reveal a painfully familiar red Honda, circa 1975, parked along the side of the isolated road visible through the trees. That cold pit yawned into a chasm, and a stiff breeze began to rattle and sway the forest canopy above.
“Why did you take that?” The ghost asked, his voice only slightly muffled by the glass. “Why did you-? It’s not safe!”
"Whoa!" Arthur cried sitting up, and curling in on himself at the sudden change in atmosphere.
"Eheheh, w-well you see; I, ah, I've been trying to fix the old girl up ever since I first found it. (Y-you know when uncle Lance wasn't around.) and. Um." Arthur laughed nervously, gulping, "L-Lewis and Vivi had the van today, and I've really b-been wanting to give it a test drive so..."
He glanced over at the cabin nervously. Hugging himself tightly, suddenly wondering if chasing a ghost who he hardly knew out to the middle of nowhere, all by himself had really been such a good idea after all.
The answer was probably NO.
