VIDEO’S UP! For today’s video, I’m actually doing a RIP It or Ship It Book Tag, which is a game perfect for trash shippers like me! I swear, I had so much fun picking out pairs of random fictional characters from the mug and then deciding whether I ship that pair or I want to rip them apart. Like I said, as a shipper, this game was perfect for me. 😂😂😂

(Btw, this is also such a great stress reliever. I needed to decompress because school is killing me, and this game totally delivered. I recommend this to everyone!)

So today, I kind of had a bad day, and my mother noticed it. I expected her to, you know, jokingly scold me, to tell me to cheer up, the usual motherly things, but you know what she said? She was just like, “Come on, we’re going out. I’ll buy you a book.”

I swear. I just love my mother so much.

The book I’m reading today. :)

So I’m finally done reading “The Graveyard Book” by Neil Gaiman (and I have to say, it was AMAZING!!! I love how Gaiman emphasized the difference between life and death, and how important it is to live. Really worth the read. *thumbs up*), and now out of all the books in my stack, I decided to move on to “Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods” by Rick Riordan. I have just started it, but dang, this books reminds me why I love reading in Percy’s point of view so much! Such attitude and sassiness...*sigh* Percy, stop making me fall in love with you. *A*

FINALLY! After one hell of a week for me (papers, papers, PAPERS), I finally get the chance to have a lone time with one of my favorite hobbies: reading! I was not given the chance to read this week because I was too busy crying over school work (still am crying now), but now I have! And I chose "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman. I have read Gaiman's short story entitled "Snow, Glass, Apples," and I was impressed with his writing style, so I thought I should give his books a try. (After this, I will search for "Coraline.") So far, I've loved his narration and writing. :)

I Honestly Don’t Get My Mom’s Taste

So, my mom asked for a recommendation on what great books to read, and I quickly answered “To Kill a Mockingbird” because I LOVE that book so much! I thought she would be intrigued and fascinated by the themes of that novel, the same way I was intrigued and fascinated the first time I read it, but somehow when she got to start reading it, she stopped because she found it “boring.” I told myself not to make a big deal out of it because after all, not everyone likes the same thing, but I only managed to hold that thought for so long because yesterday, I found her buying “Fifty Shades of Grey” and she read it. Like, she freaking read and finished it in one day! And she said she loved it!

So, she wouldn’t read “To Kill a Mockingbird,” but she will read “Fifty Shades of Grey”? Go figure, Mom. I mean, I guess it’s preferences and don’t get me wrong, I respect her likes, but as a bookworm, I suppose it’s a lesson for me: I could not share to her my opinions about books and all those things because her league is so different from mine. We might end up arguing because what she likes is my dislike and vice versa.

PS, I still can’t believe she wouldn’t read “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Who wouldn’t want to read “To Kill a Mockingbird”?  That book, to me, is a proof of pure genius. I seriously hope I’m not the only one who thought this.

Need an Opinion From a Fellow Reader

I was passing by a bookstore today, and I decided to buy “Don Quixote” by Miguel de Cervantes and “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Bronte. I wonder, are these two books beautiful? Are they worth the read? To those who have read both of these, or either, what do you think of the book/s? I need a motivation or an idea of what to expect from these classics. :)
