crowley has definitely seen the poster, but by the time they get together, ezira hasn't pinned it on a wall in ages. the poster is part of his ritual, though. some drivers are a superstitious lot, and ezira is no exception. it's his lucky charm, and it seems silly that he hangs onto it even though he has the real deal standing in the garage cheering for him, but this poster has been to all corners of the earth with him, every race of his professional career, meeting raph, losing his father. it's not just an anthony fucking crowley poster; it's life support. it's half-sized, rolled up and stuffed in a small cardboard tube with tape and old residue on the corners. and one night, crowley jokily suggests he could sign it for ezira, and ezira protests. crowley will not touch the poster.

i haven't thought about the jet, honestly, in a long time. i wrote it into the beginning aals, but it was insignificant to the plot so it disappeared into the ether. ezira was using it during aals to hop around the globe, but what with everything else that happened with ezira moving into the bookshop flat, i imagine he had no interest in continuing to use it. i suppose crowley could have taken it to use in the subsequent seasons of indycar, but i think that would have been very uncool of him. arriving in a private jet is definitely an f1 kind of thing (along with carpooling--planepooling?--with all your racing buddies), but it might come off as snobbish in indycar. many indycar drivers travel across north america by rv with their families, but crowley didn't go that far. he couldn't imagine road tripping everywhere with lili, and the reason why they shared a mansion is that crowley could be in one corner of the house, yell, and no one would hear him.

hmmm, that's a good question. i don't think ezira dresses specifically for media day. also, depending on the year and what team he drives for, he might not have the liberty to dress in street clothes! but if he does, it's creams and beige, maybe some pale blues, comfortable. less like a cool thirty-something-year-old and more like he borrowed something out of stephen's closet. except you know it's all designer like hermès and what not. ezira isn't a label whore, but he does have sponsors to appease, and he looks good doing it, so why not?

when crowley was in f1, of course, he had his one outfit: Henley, black jeans, black boots, hat and sunglasses. he doesn't participate in media days anymore and probably sleeps in the hotel through them. there is nothin of interest happening on track lol. but it's a free for all on every other day!

i will say, often times you see the drivers in sweatshirts, sweaters, longsleeves, etc. even on hot days. i have this theory that 1. they have low body fat % and 2. they're used to be in cockpits that get up to 140 degrees Farenheit, so they prefer warmer temperatures. but that means it's a perfect opportunity for crowley to trawl around in slouchy jumpers off one shoulder, bomber jackets, too-tight waistcoats that prevent him from sitting and the like. you know, crowley things.

I just want to take a second to give a huge shoutout to AislinRegin on AO3 for writing an amazing and engrossing a/b/o fic. I know a/b/o is not everyone's cup of tea, and personally, I usually avoid it unless it's done extremely well, and this is perfection.

This whole thing started out when I bidded on them for Fandom Trumps Hate, and we got into a long conversation about gender dynamics and identities in Good Omens. And what was supposed to be a 5-10k fic has exploded into a 40k+ and counting.

The story examines Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship through history and touches on some sensitive topics, such as the usual that comes with a/b/o and trauma, death, and promised future explicit content. If you want a slow-burn with misunderstandings and love and growth, then I highly recommend this fic.

Currently a WIP at 43,148 words, 4/12 chapters. AislinRegin says the entire fic is written, and they post fairly consistently, multiple times per week. They have also shamed me and gotten me off my ass with my own FTH projects after what has been a challenging summer for me personally. <3

We are actually really close to meeting the target goal of 50 (we're at 47), but I probably won't do another print run for a while. It does take some time and effort, and I don't want to do it over the holidays since everyone's budgets are so tight. I'm planning to maybe do it again early next year. I'll keep you posted!

Also, I'm so excited you are getting into F1 and are recognizing some of the big names! Hamilton's win was tremendous and such an incredible moment. He's now broken some major records, including the most wins at any single race event, the most wins at Silverstone, and the curse of 300. No driver before Hamilton has won a race after 300 race starts. He's also the oldest to win a race since Nigel Mansell in 1994. And to do it at his home race was just so incredible. I was in tears, and I'm not even a huge Hamilton fan.

I have to ask, however, please please please do not send asks about races until at least Monday. I cannot watch the races live (plus it was a big weekend with a national holiday and our local comic con), and I do not want to get spoiled. 🙏🙏🙏 I have unfortunately been spoiled in comments and asks whenever something major has happened over the last few seasons. I am stoked everyone loves F1, but I basically have to go on internet lockdown on race weekends now.

Don't worry, however, I had actually just finished watching the race right before I read your ask! So it was good timing. Thanks again for your love of #RR!

#RAINBOWROAD for Rainbow Railroad fundraised an additional $1000 with the most recent book run! I cannot stress how grateful I am to everyone for participating by spreading word or purchasing copies of the #RR trilogy.

<333 thank you so much! i often fantasize about what they're doing or what silly ways they'd answer 'grill the grid' questions. today, i watched an episode where the topic was 'questions about everything but f1,' and the prompter asked individual drivers about a favorite subject, like the nfl or the mcu. yuki tusnoda got asked about food lol. ezira would get asked about english literature, like "who is the creator of science fiction?" or "what shakespeare play does 'screw your courage to the sticking-place' come from?" and ezira would SCREAM the answers because he is highly competitive and not at all inspired by msheen on bake off

this is all to day that it means a lot that you love and miss them because they very much feel like real people to me at times. so much of their inspiration comes from my own lived experiences, the pain, the joy, the questioning (but not the global travel and multi-millionaire lifestyle), so to be able to share that with the world and be received in such a loving way is incredible
