I’m dyslexic and obviously I found reading and writing really difficult. When they found out I wanted to act they used it as a carrot to dangle in front of me. If I kept up my grades at school, I’d be allowed to go up for auditions.

I’ve been very lucky that my parents gave me such good grounding and support over the years.
