Last Line Challenge

I’d been tagged by so many people over the past… too many weeks, that at this point I will just uno reverse tag you all back at the end ^^; Life is a bit against me right now, so there weren’t much personal drawing happening but.

Last few weeks have been crazy and it was definitely over ambitious of me to attempt this BUT I learned a lot and practiced a lot and in the end I am very happy. I really wanted to draw an older Quinlan, still smiling despite everything. Maybe you can even think of it as the day he heard the emperor had fallen. A very good day that was worth the grey hairs.

Hair model who???

I swear Star Wars robbed us of giving quin some more interesting hairstyles. I’ve always found dreads to be some of the most beautiful and versatile hairstyles out there, so I hope I did them some justice here 💛

Quinlan I think would have def braided aaylas silka beads into his hair before he took her on as a Padawan, ya know just for safekeeping 🩵

Also just lemme know if you guys want more info on wth I mean by “married vos” and his tattoos cuz I have some THOUGHTS (inspired by fic Resilience on ao3, though the account is unfortunately orphaned)

For some reason I thought it’d be a good idea to change my art style for today and use no lines, but I think it turned out much nicer then I expected XD He deserves some moments like this.

Had to share this passing thought bear with me.

Qui-Gon lives au he's a General in the clone wars which Clone would be his Commander?

Obviously Fox. Obi-Wan has his own army to deal with they need someone else to do Qui-Gon's paperwork and rein in impulsive need to follow the Force's will which works well when you're in a small group but not when you're leading an army.

Fox benefits in that this is actually excellent enrichment for him and Qui-Gon will let him use his name and forge his signature as he sees fit.

This all is the worst case scenario for Quinlan Vos who now has to do the walk of shame in front of Qui-Gon Jinn for the second time in his life.

Think a few blaster bolts to the side and a missing lightsaber is gonna stop him? Your mistake pal.

So excited to start this project, hope you all enjoy it as much as I am already!

I don’t know about anyone else, but letting my friends cut my hair was always a special kind of therapy. The absolute trust but also tomfoolery of cutting and changing your hair together, such a ritual of growth. And no one can quite love and criticize your hair like your closest friends.

It has been… so long since I did anything traditionally literal years but starting with a random post order 66 Quinlan felt like the right way to begin doing it again
