Huntsville High School Parade
This is a photograph of Carolyn Werner, executive secretary to the superintendent of Huntsville's schools, riding in a car in a parade on Sam Houston Avenue. She is located on the far right in the Classics '43 car. This was probably a parade conducted by the Huntsville High School in the 1980's.
This item comes from the Werner Family Collection. The Werners were long time residents of Huntsville, TX and Walker County and their collection documents the area's storied history.

Enjoy this picture of a participant in the 1955 Walker County Fair parade. He probably dreamed of a future full of robots that would perform his chores and make his life easy. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way as most robots work on production lines or do Japanese fan dances (I think those robots are awesome by the way). At least we have the rumba!

If you have any idea who this child is, we would love to find out.
