Will in Naka-Choko is actually insane. First, he fantasises about beating Hannibal half to death, then they flirt more than obviously at the crime scene of the corpse he killed and mutilated (in front of the fbi), then he outright defends Hannibal to Freddie Lounds, says his relationship with the Chesapeake Ripper — who they both know to be Hannibal — already has an inevitable ending, then he has sex with another patient of Hannibal’s while thinking of Hannibal, then he joins Hannibal and the woman he’s sleeping with for dinner, tells her passive aggressively he and Hannibal know where they are with each other (“shouldn’t that be enough?”) after she says it’s hard to tell, then he provides Hannibal with human meat, knowingly cooks and eats it, stares at Hannibal the entire time, smiles at him, says he’s given up good and evil, and finally begins to blur with Hannibal completely
