I'm glad we got close-ups of Wakasa, because his first appearance is a bit-
He's so pretty 🤍🤍
have you some funny headcanons about the dragons founders? (you can include Tiny Inupi since he feels that he's from the first gen too XD)
I'm horrible at funny hcs because thanks Wakui and others I'm permanently suffering 😭 but I have some hcs/scenarios...
» Shinichiro secretly learns tiktok dances. Once Wakasa caught him and stood at the door looking at him seriously, saying nothing, until Shin noticed. He begged Wakasa on his knees not to tell the others
» They all had a little argument about what to teach Seishu after the boy said he wants to be like Shinichiro (who smokes too much) and agreed not to bring bad habits in front of him. Secretly Benkei and Wakasa take him to teach him how to pick locks and create their little soldier xD
» Takeomi lets Senju put make up on him and do his hair. He sometimes leaves the house without realizing that he still has colored pins in his hair and rouge on hiw cheeks. He once came to a fight and they all fell silent, looking at him. It was probably the most embarrassing day in his life.
» The only bet Wakasa lost was trying to guess how much weight Benkei benched. He had to wear a cat collar (with bell xD) for a week. Takeomi took many photos of him to remember
» Takeomi doesn't trust others easily. On one occasion when they were visiting Yokohama they asked a guy for directions and after he answered, Takeomi was like 🤨 and refused to follow them, so our guys spent two hours completely lost. Wakasa was the one who had the worst time, because he hates walking under the sun, and he will remember that forever
» Wakasa hates horror movies because he gets scared easily. Once, while watching a horror movie they all agreed that Takeomi would discreetly leave his place to grab him by surprise by the shoulders from behind. The great White Leopard ended up clinging to Shin in the most shameful way possible, screaming. They never finished the movie
» Shinichiro and Takeomi went to class together. Once they were in the hallway talking about a teacher that Shin hated and he started talking bad about her until he noticed the way Takeomi was looking over his shoulder, petrified. He was expelled for three days
» Benkei talks to himself when he practices at the gym. He often uses the punching bag or just spars alone and imagines that he is in a YouTube tutorial. Wakasa caught him once in one of his imaginary tutorials (poor guy, he always gets the awkward moments)
I know that the inside cover of volume 30 will most likely be Manjiro (parallel between Takemichi and Hina in vol. 23), or Shinichiro with Manjiro and Emma, or his family, whatever, but it's really sad to not have official art of Shin with his Black Dragons :(
It would be great if some day we could have some art of him with Takeomi, Wakasa and Benkei. After all, they started it all, right? They were the biggest band in Tokyo, the inspiration of Manjiro and of many more. Without Black Dragons there would have been no Toman, nor everything that followed its creation. They're so relevant to the story
I want to see the Black Dragons together 😭

Says "I know a spot"
» And then Shinichiro invites you to do a motorcycle tour along the coast, stopping at all your favorite beaches (loves the feel of you clinging to his back, your hands around his waist as you enjoy the speed)
» And then Takeomi takes you to the amusement park to eat cotton candy and watch the sunset on the ferris wheel (he won't look at the sunset, his best light is you)
» And then Wakasa takes you for a walk to a rose garden with his polaroid camera to take pictures of you (later he'll put some of them on the corkboard in his room so he can see you every day)
» And then Benkei invites you to make desserts for an entire afternoon (although in reality it's an excuse to get you on the counter and kiss you with cream and chocolate flavor)
Actually if Wakasa was Shin's trigger, it could explain why he seems so death inside and depressed. He helped Shin-chan to save his baby brother from this horrible fate and suddently Shin was death. And since triggers remember past timelines, he knew that Shin was alive before.
Talking about Wakasa, I need to say something about him. He's a complex character and I'm here to defend him.
When he first appeared in the manga everyone had a lot of hype about him, especially with that phrase "take care of Brahman's princess" if I'm not mistaken the quote was like that. And when it was revealed that he was in the Kanto Manji, everyone treated him like a traitor for abandoning Senju.
Wakasa never, at any time, showed emotion in Brahman. Not even at the time of its creation. We never saw Wakasa smile except when he was young, only tired expressions and bags under his eyes. It's clear that Wakasa was not happy in Brahman, his happiness ended with Black Dragons and Shinichiro.
The fandom itself was made to believe that he was in Brahman because it was his dream, what made him happy, and even out of loyalty. This isn't even a smile:
And I doubt it was because of Senju in any case, but because of the fight. Probably with each movement of Brahman he couldn't help but remember his experiences in BD every single time. That should be heartbreaking for him.
I'm not saying he didn't care about Senju, of course not. I'm just saying that he probably felt apathetic towards her. Wakasa seemed to have lost his feelings and his connection to the world after Shinichiro's death (although we don't have details yet it wouldn't be surprising if that were the case). If he had a happy life then he would have considered Senju as even a little sister, or at least I think so.
Personally (hc) I think he agreed to be in Brahman because he wanted to be nostalgic, to try to move forward and get back the feeling of euphoria that he had in Black Dragons and, failing that, he found himself unable to leave the band because that had become his new routine.
A hurtful routine. Like Kokonoi's issue with the money. Feeling safe in a harmful everyday life, just because it is everyday.
Actually Wakasa is a very interesting and realistic character.
He went from being a cheerful and active boy to being a shell of himself. I'm sure living with Shinichiro's memories is difficult for him, maybe he even blames himself for not being able to do more for Shin...
Whether Wakasa was Shinichiro's trigger or just a bystander (like chifuyu knowing about time travel and helping takemichi) his behaviors are understandable and that makes him an even sadder character.
He doesn't deserve to be treated as a traitor and I consider that he's quite undervalued in the sense that many people only valued him for his physique among other superficial things
There's nothing wrong with this chapter. I only see two pretty bfs
It would be so interesting if in the next chapter we get some black dragons flashback on Benkei's and Wakasa's POV :')
specially about the disbanding and ugh I need more content of 1st black dragon and Shin 😩🌸
I wonder what Sanzu feels toward his sister. He seemed to love her when they were kids, even if he was often reprimanded because of her. He denied to have siblings with Mucho yers later. But I really wonder if he hates her, or if he's more in denial about his affections toward her. Considering that Takoemi and Sanzu stayed together in Bonten Timeline (and that Senju is the one who is dead, not Draken), I wonder if it's not Senju's death who has who brought them back together in their grief.
He doesn't have to hate her or love her/deny her feelings. There are also gray scales in between black and white. Maybe he just feels apathetic towards her, just like Senju mentioned when he went shopping with Takemichi; and he really does have "better" things to worry about, like his own gang. It's not like he's leaving her completely alone, she has Takeomi.
I think Sanzu is fully aware that Senju was never to blame and her resentments may be directed more towards her older brother. However, children don't perceive things the way adults do, and he might have been stuck with the feeling that if he's around Senju, she'll bring him bad luck.
Let's remember that Senju's name literally means "curse". "Thousand curses" ["thousand" (千) (sen) and curse (咒) (ju)]. Her name may not mean anything regarding the plot of the story, but it's something that has always caught my attention!
Besides. We have never seen Takeomi interact much with Sanzu. On the back cover of the last volume, the three of them are seen together, but Sanzu and Senju are the ones together, they look so happy </3, while Takeomi walks behind them. On the other hand, the other interactions are of Takeomi scolding Sanzu and from here it can be assumed that maybe there were many more moments where he scolded him, because Sanzu mentions that it always happened. Sanzu was terrified and truly looks like a victim of psychological abuse, sincerely
Personally, I don't think Senju's death in the Bonten plot was what brought them together. That they work in the same organization doesn't really mean anything. On the other hand, Takeomi is too "mysterious", and has come to show himself as a guy who only cares about money post-Black Dragons dissolution, he is seen to be quite arrogant, surrounded by women and money and refusing to leave that kind of life behind, so much so that he went bankrupt and ended up in debt.
Also, in the Bonten arc Senju was dead, which means that the two of them never had the conversation where Takeomi apologizes to Senju, during the battle of the three deities, since she wasnt there.
I really need to know more about Takeomi
About Mutō and Sanzu. It is referenced that Sanzu moved away from his family, by how Muto tells him that he doesn't seem like he has a place to go. It is also referenced that Muto also has nowhere to go, maybe he also had family problems? If that is so, they really were made for each other and were like family to each other.
So in that sense it's normal that he denied having any kind of siblings or family.
