A couple years from now, right before buck and tommy’s wedding, maybe buck is feeling overwhelmed, his parents are late to the ceremony, or something’s going wrong and tommy comes into the dressing room. buck says he’s not supposed to be there as he pulls him in for a hug. Then he notices tommy has a box in his hand. It’s wooden, not very big, but it’s something bucks never seen before. They sit down and tommy opens it. Inside the box are pictures of buck and tommy from the past two years. There’s a napkin from their first (official) date. There’s a key from bucks old apartment, it’s the spare he gave to tommy three months into their relationship. a penny they found on the sidewalk that buck said was a good luck charm cause it was heads up. There’s a ‘fall risk’ hospital bracelet from a time tommy got hurt and buck made a really cheesy ‘Id risk falling in love with you’ joke once he knew tommy was okay. there’s a button he saved from his shirt the night they got engaged and were a little too eager to celebrate. and a cork from the wine bottle they opened when they had their friends over to tell them they were getting married.

By the time tommy’s done going through it all, buck can’t help the tears falling down his face as he manages to stutter out, “y- you made us a box? we… we have a box?” And tommy nods, gives him a gentle kiss and answers “we have a box”

And then buck forgets any worry he had, because all he cares about is marrying this perfect human being.
