Looking at social anxiety disorder in my CBT session today. Looking at conversations and safety behaviours. This piece looks at things I think about when Im feeling anxious about talking to someone, and then looking at the possibility that they might feel the same way or have similar anxieties. If I start to get anxious I should look at the worst case scenario, the best case scenario and the most probably thing that will happen (for example, they probably do want to talk to me if theyre talking to me already, even if Im being quiet. Even if they dont want to talk to me its not a big deal and to give myself a break in getting anxious about it) - Does this make sense?
