Her original name being Usagi makes a lot more sense on why they didn't figure out that Sailor Moon and Serenity were the same person for the longest time. I used to make fun of Luna for years like: "Luna sweetheart, the Princess's name is Serenity, and her name is Serena. 😂"

I didn’t really come up with a backstory for her other than she was an evil twisted version of Sailor Moon but she was way more powerful.

Yeah... let’s just say I was really young when I watched it. Also I really hated Serena/Usagi for some reason so I was like: ugh I want an evil Sailor Scout to get rid of her. Yeah she was a Mary Sue, but I was young so. Now I still want to do the whole twisted version of the Sailor Senshi we know and love, but I’m thinking that they’re from a dark parallel universe, and y’know without the whole being stronger than Usagi thing.
