The first time you had seen Nanami at the adoption agency, he seemed scarier than originally intended. With a sharp look to his eyes and a frown on his face, it had made everyone nervous the way he seemed to scan through the crowds of hybrids waiting for adoption. Behind the glare of his glasses, you couldn't quite tell what he was looking for. It was only when his eyes settled upon you, seated quietly in the corner of the room, that his expression seemed to change; less critical and more at ease. He walked over, practically towering above you, before holding out a hand. After a beat and with you having not done anything, he pressed his lips together into a thin line before murmuring to himself, "Was it dog hybrids that sniffed hands as a hello? Maybe I got this wrong."
Life with Nanami taught you that there was definitely more than meets the eye when it came to a plethora of people, him being your biggest example. Despite his hardworking and no-nonsense attitude with most things, he longed for nothing more than a relaxing time where he could kick back and not have to worry about a single thing. Perhaps adopting you was one of the first steps he took toward that lifestyle, as he often tried his best to never burden you with the happenstances of his work. You were none the wiser to the existence of cursed spirits and he wanted to keep it that way, distracting you with your favorite hobbies and sweet bedtime cuddles. He was protective of you, barely letting anyone from his life come into your view for fear of ruining your — in his opinion — perfect innocence.
Nanami should have known better than to think you would stay forever doe eyed and innocent however, as with most hybrids, your heat eventually came. It was a bit of a learning experience for him at first as he tried to come up with ways to help you gain some relief. You refused every offer for him to find you a mate however, shyness and aversion to strangers thanks to his sheltering being you number one reason. At the same time, he couldn't bear to see you suffering through it on your own, panting and sweating and lazing around the house uncomfortably. It was only a matter of time before he had to take things into his own hands.
Lying with your back against the fluffy comforter of the bed, you stared up at Nanami as he hovered over you. There was a bit of sweat on his furrowed brow and his voice came out in a low whisper. "This is what you needed from me, hmm Jay?"
The mewl you gave him, accompanied by the watery look in your eyes, was enough for Nanami to continue, pressing soft kisses to your temple while he sank himself deeper inside of you. His own hips stuttered, momentarily lost in the feeling of you gratefully clenching around him. A soft sigh escaped his lips, drowned out by the pleasured groan you let out when he finally bottomed out, cockhead kissing the sensitively spongey spot inside of you. He'd take his time with you, ensuring he'd give you exactly what you needed to feel comfortable with him here in his home. After all, things were best done when he did them himself.
