Addison and her litter of six cubs. The largest litter the Safari Park has had of cheetahs. Bringing them to over 160 successful cheetah births.
And then Suka’s father, Teddy. Giving us his best Elvis lip.
Not a superb shot but look at how big his feet are,
Suka, 7 month old sumatran tiger.
Suka, the Sumatran tiger cub. He’ll be 7 months tomorrow, I can’t believe how big he is already!
100% my favorite shot from today. Izu coming right towards us with his bone.
This is Suka, the Sumatran tiger cub that is being hand raised at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Mom wasn’t giving him the nutrition he needed and he wasn’t putting on weight, so the keepers pulled him from mom after a few days and have been hand rearing him. He has ALL energy now and is a healthy weight(about 25lbs last I heard), and is the first cub to be hand reared at the park since 1984. Suka is a critical part of the dwindling Sumatran tiger population, of which less than 350 exist in the wild.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to watch this guy grow into a magnificent, ruffed adult, and I’m sure he will look just as handsome as his father!
The new tiger cub at the safari park is SO CUTE
The tigers were tuckered
We went to the zoo today :]
Ducks and Okapis C:
The polar bears were SUPER active at the zoo today! Spent forever there watching them jump and tumble around.
