i will never regret trying
the person you're trying to become is more important than the person you used to be. let go of the past, for once.
building a routine
creating a routine can help you stay organized and make the most of your time. to help you design a routine that works for you, take a look at these steps:
- identify your goals: think about what you want to achieve with your routine. this could be related to work, study, personal projects, or self-care.
- prioritize tasks: list out the tasks you need to accomplish and prioritize them based on importance and deadlines.
- set specific times: allocate specific times for each task. try to be realistic about how long each task will take.
- include breaks: make sure to schedule regular breaks to rest and recharge. this can help you stay focused and avoid burnout.
- be flexible: while it’s important to stick to your routine, allow some flexibility for unexpected events or changes in your schedule.
- review and adjust: periodically review your routine to see what’s working and what isn’t. make adjustments as needed to improve your productivity and well-being.
- start small: if you’re new to routines, start with a few key tasks and gradually build up as you get more comfortable.
- stay consistent: consistency is key to forming habits. try to follow your routine every day, even on weekends.

getting the most out of life
so often, i notice people living online - consistently doomscrolling or playing meaningless games. i think that they forget how life is the journey. you need to make sure you don't miss it.
know yourself understanding who you are at your core is crucial. reflect on your values, passions, and strengths. this can help lead to a more fulfilling life.
set goals define what you want to achieve in life. having clear, actionable goals gives you direction and purpose. if you don't know what you want - then you have to get out and try things! experience! understand what you want and don't want for yourself.
stay healthy take care of your physical and mental health. regular exercise, a balanced diet, and mindfulness practices can significantly improve your well-being.
be present focus on the present moment. enjoy the small things. being exposed to social media and electronic devices from a young age has lead gen z to information overload and stress.
studies show that we experience higher levels of anxiety and depression compared to previous generations. try mindfulness to promote relaxation and emotional regulation. learn how to return yourself to the present moment - to be able to get offline, and out of your own head.
build relationships surround yourself with positive, supportive people. strong relationships can provide emotional support and enrich your life.
keep learning this is something that i will forever preach! never stop learning and growing. whether it's through formal education, reading, or new experiences, continuous learning keeps life interesting.

is being confused and scared a teenager thing or a life thing?
a journey to find myself
i am going against the constant influx of short-lived trends. i want to know who i am. i want to learn and try new things and grow. i'm only sixteen years old, but i feel a little bit like i'm wasting my life, like i'm running out of time.
i'm so sick of planning changes (and seeing others do the same thing) without actually experiencing any great changes.
so, a new start: welcome to finding joanne. i'd like to record this journey and share it with you guys, hence i'm going to be starting this new series.
hopefully this will also help you find yourself.
_________ ׂׂૢ་༘࿐
my plan for this series is as follows:
every month, i am going to try 3 new things. this could include listening to different music, a new hobby, a new habit, a different style of food, the way i dress. anything. but, i have to stick with it for a month (at least do it twice, if it's definitely not for me). i'm also going to share what i think of it in a reflection.
there is only 25 months until i finish high school. if i keep going the same as i am now, that's not a huge amount of time.
my goal by the end of this is to know myself; who i am; who i want to be.

tricking yourself into doing tasks that make you nervous
you know the situations. when you get wrapped up overthinking and suddenly, this seemingly easy task seems horrible and daunting. here are some tips to help you trick your brain into completing the action.
- visualise success. imagine how good it will feel once the task is completed. this can boost your motivation and reduce anxiety.
- pair the task with an enjoyable activity - for example listening to your favourite music or having a nice cup of coffee while working.
- promise yourself a reward for completing the task. it could be something small like a treat or a break to do something you enjoy.
- tell yourself that you're just excited. you're challenging yourself. this positive gaslighting will help you feel more positive about your nervous energy.
