so this guy is pestering a young girl who's just lost someone close to her, in absence of clear social cues meant to convey exactly that

Gandalf took as long as Eowyn and Arwen combined, but what a great result! I used glow in the dark thread to attach cut crystal beads to his staff, so it sparkles in light or darkness.
