When did Teramah first came to your mind?
Terámah is basically the amalgamation of all my criticisms of Pokémon and the games I’ve played over the years, and as an example, that includes the design of them.
In the most simplest way I can describe them, they are akin to imaginary friends, but if everyone had an implicit say on their design. Like, there’s a ton of major and minor ideas that could go into the cultural idea of a “vampire”. So instead of just trying to be the best ideal version of a vampire, like Pokémon, I would instead try to combine a ton of ideas on to something that’s very much akin to a vampire, but is ultimately it’s own thing.
The closest Pokémon example I can think of is Gardevoir. It is objectively based on wizards and fairies and ballet dancers, but it’s the combination of all of that and more that makes Gardevoir stand as its own entity outside of its concepts. You can understand the ideas, and Gardevoir manages to exceed them as its own thing (hetero bullshit of adding tits to it aside).
Design wise, that’s my biggest criticism of most Pokémon designs, they tend to have very little to them outside of their basis and idea. If you already have an attachment to the idea and basis, than great! You’d probably like the Pokémon in question. But if you don’t, you either don’t bother or only look at it in mechanical terms.
And I for one, want all the creatures to be able to have their own energy and not potentially die on the vine of appeal just because of circumstance.
~ Besides that, it’s just my go-to passion project, and it’s something I can hope to truly indulge and share once I get into college and my own time.

Based on characters from @poke-madhouse G: "Okay, you remember what to say?" Marah: "...Yes! Let's do this!" G: "Just, look at me and I'll mouth it to you." Marah: "Come on G-bee, I know what to say! I just feel like we need to... I don't know... make things sound more interesting... gasp" Marah: "Oooo, ...what if I-?" G: "Sing a song about it? Marah: "You knew I was gonna say that~" G: "Because I know you. But... please don't sing. This is serious." Marah: "Well you know... I'm better at expressing myself and my goals through song!" G: "But, life isn't a musical, hon." Marah: "Fine. But, I have these other ideas of what to say, the highlighted bits are the best parts~" G: (looks at her list) (It's a bunch of theater jargon) G: "Uhh, it's all highlighted. ..Is this a drawing?" Marah: "Yes! That's the happy endings, see? Everyone's smiling and happy in heaven." G: "I don't think it's that simple. Just, please, follow the talking points we went over." G: (holds her close) "And please, do. not. sing." Marah: "Okay, fiiiine." Marah: "I'll just have to resort to my impeccable improv skills." Marah walks away to get ready, while G, smiling, has a worried look on her face. ---------- You can even have moments when Marah’s banshee side flares up, similar to when Charlie’s demon form flares up. It just works.
Redesign for a Mega Gardevoir, making it more like a Valkyrie.
