I'm sorry but I have one draft that I never finished but I laugh every time I see it

honestly "the characters don't know" is good advice by itself as well, characters aren't omniscient! unless they specifically ARE omniscient in-story, it's good to remember that they don't all share the knowledge of the plot or what other characters are doing within the plot

"How do you write such realistic dialogue-" I TALK TO MYSELF. I TALK TO MYSELF AND I PRETEND I AM THE ONE SAYING THE LINE. LIKE SANITY IS SLOWLY SLIPPING FROM BETWEEN MY FINGERS WITH EVERY MEASLY WORD THEY TYPE OUT. THAT IS HOW.
