Hey I was wondering what your stance is on gun control?
I wish America could look at Australia and be like “Hmm, let’s try that.”
And if we did and some gun-obsessed Republican was like “Wow is taking away our 2nd ammendment rights really worth not having another Sandy Hook or Ferguson situation?” we can be like “Yep” and then throw that person into an active volcano.
If we take away one right we might as well start taking away others. Like some peoples rights to vote and stuff.
Sweet point, brah! Foolproof logic there. Let’s just blow up the moon and end humanity while we’re at it. Because false equivalencies and slippery slopes!
It’s a basic right. Plus I get you may live in the city where you have police around if you need them but not everyone has that option. So I guess taking guns away makes since if you want to aid rapists and thieves in rural areas
Ah yes. I forgot that all of Australia is one big city and that’s the only reason that the gov’t virtually banning all guns was such an efficient tool in ending gun violence there.

Let’s all take a moment to address that when the constitution was written and the right to bear arms was guaranteed we didn’t have things like electricity or you know phones and shit. Or even like an organized army? We had the right to bear arms because we were the army. And the police. And we had to do noble free person things, like shoot all the Native Americans.
We weren’t guaranteed to right to bear arms because it’s a “basic right” we were guaranteed the right to bear arms so that when Jim from two towns over galloped by to tell us there was a war we could hop up on our trustiest plow horse and join the fight.
We were guaranteed the right to bear arms so that we could shoot slaves that were disobedient and go on family bonding trips to kill Native Americans.
Which are all activities that I am sincerely hoping you don’t participate in anymore. We do not need the right to bear arms at all.
Besides what the fuck do you think America has that is so much more dangerous than what Australia has? Have you googled Australia? They have Taipans and shit there. What exactly does America have thats so much more dangerous and needs to be shot?

There is no increase in violence in people diagnosed with Asperger’s or autism, just as there’s no evidence of that for people diagnosed with a mental illness. In fact, they’re more likely to be victims.
Dr. Fisher was on “The Young Turks” today to explain that while increased access to mental healthcare is important, the main issue in the Sandy Hook shooting - and every mass shooting in the United States - is the presence of a gun, not a mental illness.
