PS4 Pro

Sony announced the PS4 Pro.

It can do 4K HDR gaming out of the box, will be forwards compatible for old games with a patch, and has a 1TB drive inside.

It’s launching THIS November, and will be $399. That is an aggressive price. Well done Sony.

(Personally it’s a little weird to give a console a “pro” name since the market for consoles are already small… and already mean someone who plays games enough to need a dedicated device… but they are pricing it for everyone).

Okay, call of distress time!!!

The other night, I did the bad thing of leaving my PS3 on, turning off the TV, and let it be for a night.  I did this cause I was charging a device off it (and the controller charger was the only USB cable I have that fits on it).  In the morning, I took off the device and left for a day.    

When I turned the tv back on two nights ago, the screen was frozen with little pixel lines.  I turned it off, turned it back on, and while I got sound, the only image I get is black screen with some pixels.  

I tried soft resets and hard resets, no charge.  

This is a first gen PS3, complete backwards playback.  I really don't want to give up this PS3.  Is there anything I can do, is it worth sending it for repairs, or is it completely ruined?
