Rewatching episode 3 and I caught Tala’s little smile to the loading droid.

And now I’m thinking about the difference between Leia and Tala’s “What if they have something to say?” “Actions speak louder than words.” versus the troopers’ “It’s just a loader. It doesn’t understand.”

Leia and Tala recognize the droid as a thinking being, who has their own way of expressing themselves, while the Empire recognizes them only as a machine, incapable of understanding.

But we see the loader interact; they look down at Lola when they’re introduced, they shows them into the back room, they ready a hammer when the stormtroopers search.

Just… those few lines say SO MUCH about the people speaking, about the way Leia and the young Rebellion and the Empire see those beings considered ‘lesser’. It’s Leia saying “Thank you” to the droid in episode 1 and the asshole cousin telling her, not in so many words, that that’s stupid. It’s how Obi-Wan carefully fixes Lola just because he can.

It’s the humanity of it all.

A personal message from Ewan McGregor.

This weekend, Star Wars fans made Obi-Wan Kenobi the most watched Disney Plus Original Series premiere of all time. And for that, I would say a big thank you, and it just goes to show what this family can do when we all pull together.
However, it seems like some of the fanbase, from this influential fanbase, have decided to attack Moses Ingram online and send her the most horrendous, racist DMs. And I heard some of them this morning and it just broke my heart.
Moses is a brilliant actor, she's a brilliant woman, and she's absolutely amazing in this series. She brings so much to the series, she brings so much to the franchise. And it just sickened me to my stomach to hear that this had been happening.
I just want to say, as the leading actor on the series, as the executive producer on the series, that we stand with Moses. We love Moses, and if you're sending her bullying messages, you're no Star Wars fan in my mind. There's no place for racism in this world, and I totally stand with Moses.

One thing the Star Wars fandom did that I really like is that we looked at the two established “lineages” amongst the Jedi, that being a number of people who can all connect their Jedi training back through one another. Those ones with enough people being: the line that starts with Mace, and the line that starts with Yoda/Dooku. And the fandom said:

Mace >> Depa >> Caleb/Kanan >> Ezra: A talented lineage of hardworking intelligent generous people always ready to make sacrifices and do what’s right. They’re especially talented at seeing all the angles and spotting and making connections with other beings. We will call them the Shatterpoint Lineage ☺️✨

Yoda >> Dooku >> Qui Gon >> Obi Wan >> Anakin >> Ahsoka >> It’s complicated, ok?: We don’t give two shits if y’all are the “main characters of the franchise” or whatever, NONE OF YOU can go anywhere without a broken limb, something being lit on fire, and at least five people crying, you’re the goddamn Disaster Lineage and you all need help

Hi ! Another dumb question for you !

Are Thrawn, Thrass, Maul, Savage, Eli and Obi Wan good singers ? And what kind of songs would they (+ Tarkin and Krennic) like to sing ?

Again, thank you so much for answering all my stupid questions 💕

Ahhh none of these are dumb, they are just the way to get my brain going when I start to write~

Now, Thrawn isn't exactly the one that everyone thinks of when they hear the word "musician" or "singer," but his voice is definitely one that turns heads. It's low, easy on the ears, his songs softer and mostly tunes that he had heard back home. He's no professional, but he definitely could be if he had any desire to train.

Thrass, is the musician, and singing is a large part of that. His voice, smooth and beautiful when playing to the piano or harp, is made for melodic songs, light and the kind that tells a story in their lyrics. He writes many of these songs, especially many about you, and he manages to make you feel every single thing he does with a simple song that plays when you pass by the room.

Maul does have a good voice, though he rarely uses it. He listens to music more than he creates it, and would prefer to be sung to than anything. But there have been a few instances where he's sung a lullaby to you, and the sound was instantly comforting.

Savage enjoys singing, but... he's not exactly a siren, that much is obvious. Still, the fact that he enjoys it enough to continue doing it as well as sharing it with you is adorable, so not a single person has said a word about it. He will sing anything you request, and will probably spin you around in the process.

Eli can sing better than most people! He doesn't like showing it off and mostly sticks to his humming while he does his ~math~ or whenever he's alone. Sure he grew up with country, so maybe he's a bit biased, but he's also someone who appreciates a good bit of jazz while he's at it, too.

Of course Obi-Wan can sing, how is that even a question? (If you know you know), But only a few are privy to such a thing, namely Anakin and Quinlan, who managed to catch the man singing some showtunes in lieu of meditation in his room. Cody knows as well, but he would rather forget about it.

Tarkin can't really sing, but that doesn't stop him from reciting an entire ABBA album in the shower, nor should it.

Krennic... Disney Princess songs.
