This picture has been circulating all over social media and I have more to add:

  • Delete all period cycle tracking apps off your phone today.
  • Do not tell anyone why you want to take your trip, especially over text/apps.
  • Do not tell anyone the real state/destination of your trip.
  • Have everyone on your trip turn off their phones. Use written directions or a burner phone. Do not use burner phone to open any personal apps. Dispose of after trip.
  • Only use cash while purchasing ANYTHING on your trip.
  • Take “vacation” photos to post later. Be cautious of geo-tags/only post screenshots of the original photos.

Some people might say this is being extra or overly precautious, but this really is the reality we are facing. People have been imprisoned with murder charges in certain states- some for literal miscarriages. If you are a person that ends up in this situation, the state can and will use your data against you as evidence in court. Do not leave a paper trail. If they want to treat us like criminals, we’re gonna move like criminals.

This is what feminists mean when they say that feminism is about gender equality. It’s not really about equality, it’s about paying men back for all the supposed grievances women have suffered at the hands of the “patriarchy”.

You… do realize it’s trying to point out the wage gap between men and women, right? Women make 75 cents to the dollar that men make. And that’s just WHITE women. POC women make even less. So, yes, it is for equality. So that when men see that price difference, they go “Hey, that’s not equal, that sucks” and women can say “YES, LET ME TELL YOU A THING” -discussion begins-

My plan to end street harassment forever

I have a plan that will stop street harassment for all time. It goes like this:

  • All women are now allowed to carry swords.
  • All women get 20 free hours of sword training.
  • All women are allowed to cut a fool without suffering legal consequences once per calendar month.

Fine points and clarifications:

  • For the purposes of this scheme, any bladed weapon 20" or longer that comes with a sheath is a sword; anything shorter or without a scabbard is out of bounds.
  • Legal “cut a fool” passes do not stack; if you cut no fools in January, you don’t get to cut two fools in February. Conversely, you are not required to cut a fool at all – just know you can if you want.
  • Legal “cut a fool” passes are good for any sword wound up to and including fatalities.

And but so:

  • I realize the first couple of years after this plan is implemented will be a bloodbath, but think of the society we’ll be building and remember the greater good!
  • I picked swords because it’s really hard to take one away from someone if you don’t have one yourself.
  • Do you think a small industry might pop up around sword fashion? Stylish sword belts and scabbards? Hello Kitty and Lisa Frank sword gear? Am I alone in wanting to see what that would be like?

Look, I’d be happy if we lived in a world where we didn’t have to hand swords out to women in order to scare dumbass men into keeping their fool mouths shut, but this clearly isn’t that world. I’m ready to see this happen.

I am all over this post, it’s fantastic, but I am like 2x excited because Lisa Frank sword bandoliers and stuff - could you imagine!? Amazing!

how can you not see ableism as a feminist issue

autistic girls, especially black autistic girls, are misdiagnosed and underdiagnosed because of the focus on white cis boys and how they present as autistic

disabled girls and women often have their consent violated, both in medical procedures and otherwise, our bodies and minds are often not considered are own and we are dismissed as not having the capacity to make our own decisions

on top of that many disabled girls are seen as delusional and their speaking out about the abuse they have face, by whatever communication method, is often seen as them making things up and over reacting

many disabled women are fetishised and seen as an outrageous ‘thing’ to fuck, but are not seen as human

disabled girls, especially physically disabled girls, do not live up to ideas of beauty in our society and often have extreme self esteem issues

disabled women and girls face more shit than you could ever know and I need you to understand

Ableism. Is. A. Feminist. Issue.

imagine you and your mother/wife/girlfriend go to a foreign country. Upon entry, they demand that all of the women remove their shirts and bras so that they can be photographed, for identification purposes. You would think this was disgusting and misogynist, that they secretly just want to see some bare boobs, that they are a weird and backward culture. And yet, when Muslim women raise this exact objection when they’re required to remove their head coverings for ID photos, we say their culture is the primitive, misogynist one. See, because your arbitrary rules about how much of a woman’s body should be covered in public is just logical, common sense; theirs is the result of crazy superstition. In reality, both of you are just reacting to your Default Moral Setting, as if it was an absolute truth handed down at the creation of the universe.
