Eli Vanto is consistently portrayed with brown skin in all available source material. There is no canon textual description of him but he's brown in all the official art. He's not tan. He's brown.
If the wiki says he's tan then just a reminder it has also said that the clones and Bail Organa are tan in the past and all those characters are absolutely poc.
Star Wars has a persistent whitewashing problem. Don't be part of it.
@cyber-witch85 when I read the comic, I saw him and went “oh, he’s latino!” I live in a majority hispanic and latino border town, and have countless friends and relatives with the same complexion as him, and they definitely do not consider themselves white.
I’m mixed white and latino, and Eli looks like he’s a a cousin I’d see at a quinceañera on my moms side of the family, not someone from my dads side.
I’m mixed, and he’s darker than me.
It’s great to see a main character who is not white! POC have been asking for more representation for years, and it’s kinda mean to try and take that away from folks.
