Okay, I'm curious now. Out of all of your OCs, which is your favorite/are your favorites? And tell me more about them.
Oh thanks for asking!! I only have a small handful of OCs, most of them for the Sengoku Basara universe. My favorite of them has to be Soma Yoshitane!
A warlord in charge of protecting Soma clan and sometimes at odds with the main character One-Eyed Dragon, Date Masamune! Though he’s most involved in his rivalry with Masamune’s cousin Date Shigezane! He’s a big and strong red-head, very kind, lover of animals, skilled in horsemanship and wielding a spear, but actually hates fighting in battles and taking lives in war. He tries to live the life of a noble samurai, with all the poised mannerisms and presence required, but isn’t very good at it, try as he may. He’s honest and loyal, full of duty and chivalry, but just very bad at romance and writing calligraphy and poetry. I love him sooooo very much!
I also have two sci-fi characters I’ve been developing, Owen Sparks: an Australian human engineer and Raas: a regal blue alien who loves collecting stuff from Earth! They both live on an alien space station way out in the light of the Orion Nebula. Their story “Orion Days” is still a work-in-progress. But I like drawing their growing friendship and adventures in space just for fun!
There are a few more, but I could go on an on. Haha! Thanks again for asking about my OCs!!

@tsuncarrot‘s gross Sengoku BASARA OC Ayako. She ended up wearing Matsunaga’s colors completely unintentionally. Somewhat. I just picked the first kimono I thought suited her. This was really fun to draw! Drawing someone upside down is really difficult! I had a lot of trouble with her feet but I think they came out alright. It proves I have to practice drawing them a lot more!

- Animazement Day 2 - Went to the highlight of my Animazement experience this morning: the Shamisen-Taiko group performance starring Taishi Yamabe, Sho Asano and featuring The Jacabals! This show is still is the best thing about Animazement for me!! I never miss it!!!Though I didn't get any pictures or video but I'm sure someone did. I go now to enjoy it and boy was it fun!! But I'll tell you more details later in my Deviant art journal report. After the show, I got busy with commissions! Thanks to everyone who came by and said hi and who remembered me from last year's AZ!! So many familiar faces! You guys are awesome!!! And I really appreciate your smiles and support!! And thanks to the ones who gushed with me over Sengoku Basara and other forgotten fandoms!! Also took a few snapshots of Yona of the Dawn cosplay and the epic Monkey King!! Last day of AZ is tomorrow!! Noooo! I don't want this to end!!!! (T ^ T)

shoutout to people with ocs
that are either for fandom or purely original projects. you just spend so many hours constructing them from essentially dirt. shoutout to people with ocs who have them go through a million changed names and a million changed backstories, and still don’t feel like they’re up to the developmental standards that they should be…but they’re still loved by you regardless. shout out to people with ocs who want to share them with others, but are too anxious to tell information about them out of fear of judgment or laughter. And shout out to these same people who’re obviously adoring their creations but feel scared as shit to express the love out of your friend’s potential annoyance. shout out to people who make their ocs align with themselves in surname or quirks or just giving them those softer, hidden traits that also make you, you. to the peeps who feel so disappointed with their creations because again, they don’t feel good enough or accurate enough compared to other ocs. Nothing is perfect on the first draft, but they’re getting closer to perfected imperfection. to the creators who will write paragraphs about those brain children, paragraphs and concepts that have been building up for months only to be greeted with no response or simple replies such as, ‘oh.’ or to people who actually pay attention to them, and ask the BIG QUESTIONS and you’re just internally screaming and have to put on this cool act. shout out to people who spend hours thinking about how they sound like. (listening to voice clips for HOURS just thinking about your characters) What songs can apply to their personality and lifestyle…how they apply to them specifically. shout out to big-brained creators who have a hundred and one characters and are greeted with, ‘isn’t that enough?’ when you talk about the concept of making a new one. If shows can have a vast cast of more than a ten to twenty characters, you can have your own vast cast too. this post is just for people who feel so uneasy being so deeply involved and enthused in their creations. as if, there should be a limit on this type of love. fandom ocs get stepped over and judged on sight, non-fandom ocs really get stepped over. But all that work and construction is valid and shows in your explanatory essay of their favorite genre.

Nashicon 2015 - Day 2 commissions! I had an awesome time at this year's Nashicon! Despite the terrible weather I was glad to see so many more attending than last year. Hopefully it'll be even better next year! Next con I'll be selling at is Animazement - May 22 - 24 - Raliegh, NC. I'll be making some new and special things for my favorite con. 30 Day OC Challenge - Day 5: 15 Minute Sketch
Wow, that was difficult. I think I was a bit ambitious with this in such a time frame. I guess I need to work on drawing faster with it not looking so sketchy.Tachibana and Sakurachi are participated in many battles together under the Tokugawa banner. So, here I sketched them in battle armor. I'm gonna have to include lots of flash-backs in my story...they look so good like this! :3

30 Day OC Challenge - Day 4: Cosplaying One of Your Favorite Characters
Of course, I had to choose Sengoku Basara characters!!! Sakurachi obviously pulls of Takenaka Hanbei somethin' fierce!!!! I love that darkness behind Hanbei's exterior beauty, so it fits Sakurachi perfectly.
Tachibana was a little harder to choose for. I ended up picking Ishida Mitsunari cosplay because it just seemed to work. Plus, Mama Hanbei and Mitsu-kun are always a good pair, just like Saku and Tachi are always meant to be seen together!
I wish I had more time today to color this, but it's too late!!! So enjoy a nice inked drawing! (^//////^)
