My fancast choice for Mechagodzilla/Kiryu is the speech software MacinTalk, the same software used for A.U.T.O. in Wall-E. I think the tone would fit with the mechanical kaiju.
Oooh that’s a cool idea. If that voice had some added growling undertone or resonance, like the echoing ‘ghost of OG Godzilla’ laced within, it would be pretty unique!! He could have a monotone when in his controlled state but then express something wild and snarly when in ‘berserk’ mode. Sort of like kaiju monster growl plus TF Soundwave...lol
Finally, he’s finished! Kiryu!! [from “Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla”]
This illustration has been sitting in my WIP folder for months and now he’s finally DONE! Mechagodzilla was the 2nd most voted character in my recent poll for Godzilla gijinka re-designs, and it’s no surprise. Although there are at least 3 versions of Mechagodzilla in the Godzilla universe, I decided to go with Kiryu. He means the most to me and has the coolest design out of all of them, in my humble opinion!
Setting is based on the iconic scene in the movie, “Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla”, when Kiryu is silhouetted against the setting sun after raging in berserk mode. And yes, I did make a “berserk” version for fun.

Why do i picture kiryu as a mix of, well, kiryu, bender from futurama, and eustace from courage. While just being a metal version of gramps.
Granpa Goji’s “ghost” only affects Kiryu a little bit, when he gets overcome by his berserk mode. And really just forcing him to destroy humans instead of protect them.
Oh no, no, Kiryu is the noblest of knights! Defender of Earth! He’s magnificent but does have a little bit of sass! XD At least, my gijinka version does...

I see him more speaking with great intelligence and using high tech words. Since he’s built with advanced technology maybe using algorithms and scietific facts for conversations that go over everyone’s heads. Quite peaceful really and logically minded...
Until he gets possessed by Grandpa Goji and goes on a mad rampage!!
Recommendation for the cape: when he's ready to go into battle, He presses a button to make the cape go into the armor, that way he doesn't get caug on it while fighting.
OOh, I like this idea. And maybe he can do an epic cape woosh before the fight, and then tucking it away. His entrances in the movies were pretty flashy and dramatic! But it’s true, capes are a dangerous accessory! XDD
His Kiryu’s sword electric? Like when he uses it does it have a white glow and electric sparks are flying off it?
Probably, something like the special mazer attacks and lightning beams in Tokyo SOS Kiryu has in the film. Something very flashy!!
For some reason I see kiryu in a cape really to slice some monsters for justice
OOOOhhh, that’s a great idea! I was feeling like something is still missing about Kiryu’s design...my inspiration is a heroic knight in shining armor, and a cape is perfect!! I’ll have to try adding it next time I draw him. Thanks!!

The king is not the brightest when it comes to certain things, uh? *Eye roll* That somehow makes sense.... I just imagined one of his kaiju allies talking about how to defeat this monster in "science talk" and Godzilla is like: .... what :P
Haha! I can actually see Kiryu [Millennium Mechagodzilla] doing that! Since he’s so technologically advanced, he’d probably rattle off some super complicated verbage if given a chance to lead a war meeting.
Kiryu: “So, the enemy’s main weak point is here, the solar plexus. If we coordinate to strike him in the central axis of the celiac ganglia, then we can-”
Godzilla: “Wait...”
Kiryu: “What is it, Brother Gojira?”
Godzilla: “Can’t I just hit him?”
Kiryu: ”...T-that is what I was just explaining. Triangulating attacks to the central nerve mass in the-”
Godzilla: “So I can just hit him?”
Kiryu:...”Yes.”
Godzilla: *snort* “Ha, coulda come up with that plan myself. I do it all the time! And I thought you were the “smart” one.”
Kiryu: “...You do realize that I have access to information regarding YOUR weakest points as well...Brother Gojira.”
Godzilla: “Oho...? Think you can beat me?”
Kiryu: “Simulation results have returned positive...for me.”
Godzilla: “...Outside now!”
Kiryu: “...”
