Wow, WOW! Guys, I just found a bit of Godzilla trivia! Ok, so I was listening to the original “Gojira” (1954) soundtrack the other day and right in the middle of the music from the final scene...I suddenly heard the some very haunting notes and familiar notes. After a while of thinking about it and listening to it again...there was no mistake. The music was exactly the same as the tones played when the final form of Destoroyah appeared in “Godzilla vs Destoroyah”!!!!

If you skip ahead to 32:08 on this video, you’ll be able to hear it!

It’s hard to hear when these tones are played during the original “Gojira” film. But judging by the timing, I would guess they sound off at the exact moment when Godzilla comes up out of the water for his final agonizing roar before disappearing beneath the waves and turns to bone. It’s the exact same music they used for the final form reveal of Destoroyah!!!

I am just amazed at finding out this bit of trivia, so I thought I’d share!!!

Just curious, have any other long time Godzilla fans noticed this before?

Out of all the Godzilla movies, including the ones that have a butt load of cheese, which ones are your favorite?

Haha, well I haven’t gotten to taste all of the cheese, yet. Still need to get though a bunch of Showa Era films. But, yeah I do have quite a few favorites, more that I can list! But I can mention a few top favorites of the classic films!

Honestly, Godzilla 1998 was pretty much my introduction into Godzilla. Memory is fuzzy but I’m pretty sure I saw that movie before I saw Godzilla 1954 in its entire. Up until then, I’d only seen glimpses and clips. Godzilla movies just weren’t as available back then as they are now. So I never had the experience of ‘98 Godzilla being strange, then and now I still love the big lizard and the movie, doofy as it is, it’s part of my childhood and is still one of my favorite movies!!! Godzilla 1954 of course is the best, the timeless classic, nothing can top it. But for the rest of the films...

I really love Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2 because of BABY! Baby Godzilla in that movie...oh he was so cute, and some parts actually made me cry! Fire Rodan was amazing, and Godzilla being awesome as usual and pushing over Mechagodzilla like a tin toy. lol

Godzilla vs Destroyah was an emotional roller coaster, and seeing Junior all grown up was so good...but the ending. Wow...I cried. [I can never forgive that abomination!!!!]

Godzilla vs Biollante is intriguing and sad, so...so tragic and had some really jaw dropping moments. The fore-gleam to Godzila’s return and then his actual entrance coming out of the volcano was just....awesome! But I was really fascinated by the unique story and learning Biollante was a tragic character despite her horrifying appearance.

The Kiryu saga is definitely my favorite arc of the Millennium era! Both Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Tokyo SOS! I really thought GMK was interesting but Godzilla was just too terrifying...OAO though Shin will always be the most nightmarish of all! I can’t hardly look at him omg...O___O NIGHTMARES

But honestly, the one I’ve watched more than any other has to be Godzilla 2014. Until KOTM came out, Godzilla 2014 is probably my most watched Godzilla movie out of all of the films! I love the darkness, the mystery, the MUTOs, the build-up to Godzilla’s reveal, the monster fights, the helplessness the human characters face, Joe Brody’s epic dialogue, the soundtrack, the entire plane jump scene, the MUTOs sounds, everything...! Though Godzilla King of the Monsters 2019 will probably end up as my new top favorite, since it spawned this whole jump into the deep end of the Godzilla fandom!!!

Omg I just finished watching Godzilla: Final Wars! What a crazy ride!!!! All the Monsters looked amazing and once Godzilla showed up it just got better! And Gigan is exactly the walking disaster I thought he’d be! He tried so hard to be cool but...oh gosh so fail, I laughed pretty hard during his scenes. But he just looks so cool you don’t care that he loses!! Aaahh!!💕

Plus he has a rivalry battle with Mothra??!! Kaiser Ghidorah was nightmarish wow. And Godzilla was so OP as he should be! But I like how he didn’t use his atomic breath on Anguirus, like he was fine just with an old fashioned brawl. Everyone else don’t care blast em, but I was happy he didn’t take out his tough buddy! What a crazy way to wrap up the Millennium Era!!! Long live the King of the Monsters!!

OMG I'M SO SORRY I didn't realize you hadn't seen Final Wars, I'm sorry I didn't ask D:> (now i'm super glad i didn't share more details...) Thankfully there's a ton more action in the movie besides that fight, so there's still a ton more to see!

Haha, no problem! I’ve seen a bunch of clips from it already on random kaiju info videos when I was researching Gigan. But I don’t think spoilers would matter much, its just a big, crazy monster brawl from what I’ve heard/seen clips of. Though I really didn’t hear much about the human side of the plot other than aliens appear...??? Yeah, I’m planning to watch it soon! Woo!

Out of all the kaijus that Godzilla has faced, both good and bad, which is your favorite?

Oh no, now that I’ve learned about so many of these kaiju, I think I have several favorites. The main classic opponent/villains are must favorites, of course. Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah...

But out of the ‘new to me’ kaiju opponents Godzilla went up against, from the movies I’ve recently seen, I’d say my favorites are:

Biollante *sobbing*

Kiryu [Mechagodzilla 2003] *gross sobbing*

MUTO [they both are awesome but Hokmuto is my most fave of the two]

Final Wars Gigan

maybe Orga???....it was so bizzare and unique...and that ending omg

A few others maybe, but these are the ones that stand out as some of my favorite opponents...I still have the Showa Era to watch so I’ll wait on those. And I have favorite allies and good kaiju too, but I’ll save that for another list.

I just finished watching Godzilla: Tokyo SOS and I...I’m crying so much!! I cried over Mothra! Watching her fight Godzilla was heartbreaking!! But I’m crying most over KIRYUUUUUU!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Uuuaaaaa!!!!! RIP Kiryuuu!!! You’re such a hero omg I’m sobbing!!! When I get around to making a gijinka of him...oh...Kiryu will be the most beautiful and majestic white knight in shining armor!!!
