Rodan’s habit of switching sides to follow King Ghidorah whenever Godzilla isn’t around and thinks he’s cooler being one of Ghidorah’s lackeys, along with Gigan. Maybe because Ghidorah is so…shiny??? Sort of like the idiot goons a villain would cart around to make him look good and do the dirty work for him.

Of course, Ghidorah could honestly care less about these disposable mooks but can’t be bothered to actually take them out. [kind of like Hades, Pain and Panic from Hercules…or any of those tropes of the snooty evil villain with his idiot lackeys! XDD]

Or like a gang boss with his dangerous but equally dumb underlings! Ghidorah is too interested in himself to care about these other guys, just as long as he is adored he doesn’t care. If not…well…so long.

Hmmm...he just might do that, Hulk style XD...Oh gosh, there just may be a teeny bit of Loki vibes with Ghidorah...only with less “I have to prove my power” and more “Look at how shiny I am! Worship me yall”. But then...

And Gojira drags him down to Antarctica and buries him in ice while he’s still out cold, because even a thing from space can be frozen in ice!! XD He didn’t need Mothra’s help that time because it was eons ago and Gojira was younger and in the best shape!!

He’s not pleased at all. Humans barely catch his notice, though while she and the other humans initiated his reawakening he was very pleased with her willingly choosing his side, even going against her father. My Ghidorah is more manipulative than straight-up destructive, his whispered words influencing and drawing both humans and Titans to his side. 

I’m so glad I finally watched GMK last week. I’d heard it was one of the best films and boy, everyone was right!!

Haha!! An AU for my AU, ok. Well, yes, if it goes that opposite route where Gojira would be the villain and Ghidorah a guardian Titan, then yes. Both of them were guardians of Earth in that story, so yes they would probably have a close bond, but more like a very close friendship instead of something intimate. Since Mothra did give her life force energy to Ghidorah so he could be strong enough to fight evil Gojira, but they were all fighting to save the Earth.

Ghidorah would have different costume design. He’s very opulent, arrogant and haughty in my original AU, in gaudy gold armor. In this sort of AU, Ghidorah didn’t seem that way, he was calmer, nobler and had a different kaiju design, more like a divine Japanese dragon. So he’d probably have something more like what a noble Japanese lord would wear, more layered, flowing robes than big gaudy armor. I’ll have to design this AU version some other time, it’s an interesting idea!!

Oh he is TERRIBLE!!!!! He becomes Ghidorah’s main lackey later on [after Rodan returns to Gojira’s side] though he will fight on his own, and destroy and hurt others on purpose. He is very cocky, but more enjoys seeing the destruction and mayhem Ghidorah brings, and that he himself creates. Like his original kaiju character, he enjoys being bad and tearing things up, frightening and hunting humans, and fighting Titans. He thinks himself invincible, but he is kind of an idiot and will harm himself during fights because he’s really klutzy. 

Ghidorah gets annoyed sometimes when Gigan mouths off idiotic taunts, and stumbles over his own feet, and they will argue about dumb things but keeps him around the longest as his favorite pawn. Gigan also supplies them both with crazy powerful alien technology that he puts together and tests on his enemies!!

Gigan traveled the universe independent from Ghidorah for a long time until the Golden Demise got word of a ruthless fighter, and weapons maker, high on destruction and proposed and alliance. Not that Ghidorah feels he needs any help in his conquering the universe, he just figured this sharp, pointy, dumb lackey would make him look good. [This is all referencing back to the film Godzilla vs Gigan, where Gigan and Ghidorah teamed up.]
