战国布武【朕的江山战国篇】 Zhànguó bù wǔ【Zhèn de Jiāngshān Zhànguó Piān】
This is yet another Sengoku castle town and army management app, and also created by a Chinese developer. The company originally released the game in Chinese, Japanese, and English languages, and last year they appear to have added a Thai language version.
I haven’t tried the game, so I cannot review the gameplay. Based on the screenshots, it seems pretty typical, though.
“Sengoku Fubu” as a title sounds kind of funny, but it appears it’s because it was translated from Chinese to Japanese. Perhaps it makes more sense in Mandarin. The subtitle part, especially. 朕的江山战国篇 means “Our (imperial “we” used by emperors) Regime, Warring States Tale”. They translated 江山 (country/kingdom/regime) into 天下, and honestly, the Mandarin phrase flows better to me.
Even without knowing the background, I was able to tell that this was a Chinese/Taiwanese developer. That sleek/glossy realism painting style is something of a hallmark of Chinese artists. It’s less visible with the older-looking characters, but it’s visible in the artwork of young men and women.
