For the last 27 years of my existence, I have wondered where all the Crowded House fans under the age of 50 are. They're on Tumblr!!!
*doesn’t post nil in a while* *posts this*
Фанаты Crowded House и Split Enz, я вас обожаю!❤

Crowded House, 1988
Posting this photo for good luck! I’m officially a registered teacher and I’ve been applying for jobs. Thus, this is my good luck nil.
Happy holidays to all my beautiful mutuals. No matter if/what you celebrate, I hope that you find time to spend it with those that you hold dear. I’m so proud of you all, and thank you for making this such a welcoming and positive space <3
one of my favorite Neil pics for you, hope you feel better and your posts always make my day!! <333
Thank you so so much for this sweet comment and amazing picture! I adore this photo of Neil, it is also one of my favourites. <3333
because i think you're so cool i'm going to give you two! time and tide & woodface !!
You are the sweetest, thank you!! <3 Literally my favourite Split Enz and Crowded House album!!
Time And Tide
My favourite song: 'Take a Walk'. Such an underrated song!!! This song reminds of summer holidays and discovering old hobbies again. One of my comfort songs for sure.
My favourite lyric:
Time to slip out my back door Sunrise dancing on my wall Heading down off beaten tracks Try to get that feeling back
Amazing. This reminds me of Australian summers and going for morning walks to feel something.
My least favourite song: Literally none, but I don't listen to 'Small World' as much as the others.
A song that makes me cry: 'Haul Away' and 'Make Sense of It'. These aren't necessarily sad songs, but they both have melancholy qualities that I can't explain? Also 'Dirty Creature' makes me sad because it is about Tim's struggle with anxiety/panic attacks.
I could talk about Time And Tide for days!!
Woodface
My favourite song: 'Fall At Your Feet'. So basic but I mean??
My favourite lyric:
In her soft wind I will whisper In her warm sun I will glisten 'Till we see her once again In a world without end
--
The finger of blame has turned upon itself And I'm more than willing to offer myself Do you want my presence or need my help?
I couldn't choose between the two.
My least favourite song: None. Maybe 'I'm Still Here' at the end of 'How Will You Go?' A literal jump scare.
A song that makes me cry: Too many. I'm known for putting this album on when I'm sad. 'She Goes On' and 'All I Ask' makes me sob sometimes tho.
Crowded House Christmas card, tentatively dated 1990, from the Crowded House/Split Enz fan club, Frenz of the Enz.
After getting into Crowded House in my early teens, I joined their fan club, Frenz of the Enz, which was actually a carryover from the band’s origins in Split Enz. While the news I received from the U.S. branch of the Frenz was always a little behind—all communications originating from Australia and necessarily being conducted via postal mail in this era—I was excited to receive any envelope bearing that return address.
And every year fan club members would receive a Christmas card. The artwork on the front of the card is similar in style to that used in materials promoting the band’s 1988 album, Temple of Low Men. And it features the following text:
Suddenly an Angel of the Lord appeared saying Christmas will soon be upon us Where’s the 3rd album?
The third album (Woodface) was released in July 1991, so I’m going to guess this undated card was for the 1990 Christmas season.
Alas, no band member signatures, just that of Peter from the fan club. But hey, it was personalized, and that was a nice touch. Happy Christmas, indeed.
