MID FanFic
HERE IT IS. I don’t even know what to say here. Except that this is my MID fic featuring Nancy, Deirdre, and the Hardy Boys. It was basically 28 pages double spaced when it was in Google docs but I just copied and pasted it here so it lost that format. Hope you guys like it, I kind of rushed so my perfectionist self isn’t 100% happy with it but I just really wanted to get my idea out to you guys before Halloween, so I’d appreciate any feedback as well as spreading it out to the Clue Crew.
Nancy had finally gotten up to her hotel room. Technically it was Joe’s room but since ATAC had booked two rooms for the boys, Joe graciously offered his room up to the girls and moved his things into Frank’s room. Exhausted after a long afternoon picking pumpkins and an energetic car ride with Joe, she set her pumpkin down atop the “Explore Salem!” brochures on little wooden desk near the tv. Deirdre had been laying on her stomach on one of the queen sized beds, remote in one hand, a bowl of popcorn in the other, and a glass of whisky sitting dangerously on the bed.
“I ordered some popcorn and drinks, and now that you’re finally back we can have a sleepover gossip session. I need some girly time even if it’s with you, Drew. Frank and Joe can be such boys at times.” Nancy grabbed her pajamas and toothbrush and went into the bathroom to change, “Sleepover gossip session?” “High school rules, so you have to answer.” Deirdre said from the bed sipping some whiskey that she probably put on ATAC’s tab.
“What if I don’t know the answer?” Nancy asked as she brushed her teeth.
Deirdre laughed, “Honestly Drew, were you ever in high school long enough to learn any social skills? I ask you personal questions, you ask me personal questions, straight answers are mandatory, we share gossip, stuff like that. So, let’s start with the burning question everyone is dying to know, what’s going on with you and Nedgur?”
Nancy was now struggling with the buttons on her pajama top, “What?”
Just gonna remind y’all this exists and I made it and I’m actually kinda proud?

SO I have decided to crank out my MID Fic that I stopped working on because my perfectionist’s ass was too picky about all of it. So I’m gonna try to get it done before Halloween for ya. IT mIGHT BE roUGH just a warning but I just want to get it out there at this point.

I’m so close to finishing it but the more I write the more revelations I come to so the more revising I end up doing HFSHFOHFEJEKJ

Midnight in Salem NDAE snippet
Quietly, she climbed out of her queen sized bed and stood in front of the bathroom mirror. Her reflection accurately represented how she felt on the inside. A mess. Her titian hair was falling out of its loose ponytail, the dark circles under her eyes were getting worse, and her face gave away every sign that she had been crying. She was also cold. She had plenty of blankets in her hotel bed, but every part of her body was stiff with chill. It was almost 1AM now, she needed sleep. She needed warmth. She wanted someone to hold her and tell her it was going to be ok. Frank. She wanted Frank.

Guys I just want you all to know
I’m still working on my MID fic, I realized I kind of hated the direction I was going so I have had to rewrite practically all of it before I could continue
My issue was that I made Nancy seem like a jerk when it came to her whole Ned/frank relationship and my timeline with her relationship with Ned and when I want things to happen with Frank were too close/overlapping in a tasteless way (so yes NancyxFrank will be kind of a thing lol)
I finally know how I want to solve this problem and I’m working on it and have a lot of free time to do so! Hopefully I stay motivated because I really want to write this for you guys and I hate that it’s taking me so long
I WILL BE CONSIDERING REQUESTS FOR THIS FIC
I’m considering something happening between Deirdre and Joe (?)
Not sure what I want to do with Frank and Nancy but I do want something to happen
Let’s just say there will be a costume party so I’ll consider costume ideas even though I have some in mind
And if your request doesn’t make it into this MID fic I might write for it some other time
We’d be able to open the time capsule from ASH before we get MID

May 19th, 2018 will mark the three year anniversary of Midnight in Salem being announced.
You bet your bloomers i’ve lost all hope
How have we made it this far with no new content like wow we all deserve some respect or something
What bothers me THE MOST about MID probably never happening is that the first time I saw the trailer, even though I’m an absolute scary cat and still jump watching the first cut scene in DOG, I was HYPED! It looked like a good game, I was immediately intrigued, it was a fall/witch/Halloween/black cat aesthetic and I LOVE, it’s setting and historical issues was interesting, it meant MORE Deirdre (!!), was there a clue that hardy boys might be in it too or was that just me inserting them into everything?
Anyway it seemed so good and promising especially compared to some of the newer disappointments games and now ITLL PROBABLY NEVER HAPPEN
Has anyone sent HeR a MID complaint in a box of chocolates yet?
So let's say that maaayyybeeee I picked up my Midnight in Salem fanfic and mayyybeee I might try to have it done for Halloween.... Are you interested in an entire end game sequence where the culprit is caught and an explanation for their deeds? Or should I just lead up to a culprit reveal?
Rereading the MID game story on HeR's website and .... What if HeR just Doesn't know how to explain the plot/what happened in the trailer?
