Fuck it, I wanna write a fix-it Bucktommy fic too! Gaah, I have so many emotions about this whole debacle. Like someone said, it's like I was the one broken up with. At the same time I don't know whether I'm Buck or Tommy in this scenario. I just know that I'm hurting.

Fic-wise, I actually have had a longer breakup-and-makeup fic sitting near-ready on my drive for a good while, but since that one doesn't have the raw emotions of the past week in it, I worked some of those emotions out through this fic instead!

It wasn't until I had it written that I realised there's very little dialogue in it, and that Buck is confusingly angry for most of it, in a way that took both me and him by surprise. But I do like them not actually talking things through properly and instead letting their bodies do the talking. But like, of course they live happily ever after, eventually.

I hope you're not tired of the fix-it fics, 'cos I'm sure as hell not! I have so many stories on AO3 marked for later and have been blown away by all that I have read so far! This community is so creative, productive and welcoming and at the end of the day I am glad that we've had this place and time for us. If nothing else, we were given Bucktommy, and we did something magnificent with it! And will keep doing so!

More Bucktommy fic! I had the idea for an AU with Tommy showing up at the school where Buck is a teacher for a fire safety day, because it's cute and whatnot. Then I also was inspired by the fantastic song "Fuck Me Up" by Virginia To Vegas and wanted to write something hot and sexy about that. These two ideas merged, and then more scenes from their lives together popped up and I kept writing.

I've been writing this on and off since the summer, and feel like I'm finally not adding stuff to it, so I'm gonna post! I divided it into chapters as I think these are all separate scenes, and quite a few of them have timejumps. But there should be enough in the fic to keep you in the loop as to where they are timewise, and feelings-wise.

The best place to end it is probably after chapter 1, 'cos that's a strong chapter, ends hopeful and all is well. But I'd rather do chapters than separate posts, so you get to decide whether to keep on reading or not! Chapters 1-4 is really them getting together and moving through some milestones. Chapters 5-7 is them just being awesome and sweet, and in love.

I thought I was done with Bucktommy ideas for a while, but they just gave us so much more inspiration, and are so much fun to write, so I'm sure there'll be more at some point. Hope you enjoy this in the meantime!

Yet another Bucktommy fic from me! I've had a creative summer but this might be the last one for a little while. Good thing we've got new content on the way to be inspired by!

This one I'm honestly about hesitant about sharing, which is a new experience, and maybe just me overthinking things. It started as a pwp about closeted Tommy propositioning S1 Buck and inspiration struck and plot appeared. It wasn't until editing that I realised some readers might consider some of their actions dubious and less than great. I got worried readers might not interpret it as two adult guys enjoying sex together, but as something a bit messed up and, well, wrong. But as I do share pretty much everything I write, and as I do like the story and how it's not your average romance and love, I decided to post. Mind you, there's a huge extra warning on A03 jic. (And the story is prolly pretty average in quality, tbh).

Tommy is gay and pretty much closeted in this one, but is into sex with straight guys for reasons the fic doesn't really delve into but let's just say he's not figured himself completely out yet. Buck meanwhile is into sex, and if a dude wants to give it to him, he's not gonna say no. Throughout the fic I tried to hint that Buck is on a little journey concerning his sexuality that we're not completely privy to, and there's def an unrealiable narration going on from Buck, because he's back and forth on a lot of things. Hopefully that doesn't come across as sloppy writing, because it's supposed to come across as him not being entirely honest with himself, and Tommy.

So yeah, I didn't want readers to interpret it as Tommy wanting to "turn" Buck, as that's not what's going on at all. Though there are def times during the story that Tommy (and Buck!) is wondering how the fuck Buck can claim to be straight.

As always the timeline is 'wtf' as Tommy is still at the 118 when Buck shows up, but Buck is already living at the loft. Just go with it.

I do have some more written about them actually being together, but it was such a different tone from the rest of the story that I axed it. Might fuck about with that at some point and will share in that case!

Another AU offering for Bucktommy from me :) What can I say, I love AU's, and every pairing deserves a college AU, and gdi, this is my shot! (I can't get a good idea for them both as students, so...)

It started with an idea of the 118 getting a call at a school and Tommy being the intriguing art teacher that catches Buck's attention. And Tommy of course offers to teach him, because that's his M.O. ;)

Despite all that, it was VERY important to me that it not be a student-teacher thing, because that's srsly icky and I cannot be part of depicting that as a positive. As a fantasy it's fine, and if you wanna write it, go for it, but I personally cannot have that happen in my fics, and I can't have characters that are actually into it, you know? So yeah.

Anywho, this is obv inspired by Lou painting and some other stuff I've noticed with him. I'm not a big fan of blending actors with the characters they play, but I decided that this is just a fun, quick read of cuteness so a few details isn't that bad. I mean, I'm convinced Tommy is of Irish descent (maaaaybe Scottish), so.

As for the title, yes it is painfully obvious and quite shit, but I've sort of embraced that part of me now. It was that or "Paint Me A Firetruck" and nobody needs that.

Not another helicopter crash fic where Tommy ends up in hospital! Oh yes it is! It's a rite of passage for a Tommy-writer and I wanted to throw my hat in the ring too! Obvs, parts of this is cliched and full of medical (and flight) inaccuracies but that's so not important. Hopefully, my take on this trope is as sweet and fun as everyone elses, with maybe less angst and tears! I hope the spin of them not being together and the way I write them finding their way back to each other is interesting to some.

I'm really pleased with the beginning, with Eddie and Lucy talking and both shitting themselves about the situation and how to handle it. I like to think Lucy reached out later, and apologised for being a bit of a dick on that phone call. And Eddie would forgive her, barely remembering any words and just a feeling of "wrong".

The ending I'm less pleased with, but when is a writer ever pleased with the ending? I was staring at it for weeks, and at one point it went much longer and boring, so I'm glad I could shape it up to this. It was time to post and share, or never let it see the light of day!

Heh, now I'm realising I should've done a coda of Lucy and Eddie chatting on the phone, checking on each other and saying they'll see each other at Buck and Tommy's housewarming party. Oh well.

Yet another title for the ages. Now! Off to write reality-escaping fluff!

This one is not all it could be, but it's been staring at me for weeks and I got nothing, so fuck it, I'm posting! I like parts of it very much and want to share that, so the less great parts are just a bonus for y'all 😊

Buck's def a bit woob-ified in this one and I know some ppl dislike that, but the idea popped into my head and I liked it, so I wrote it *shrugs* I def think that Buck wouldn't have any keepsakes or a box of stuff from previous relationships. I also think realising Tommy has one, makes him think (once again) abt how bullshit most of his relationships have been. It's my personal HC that he's a bit fucked up about that, even if he objectively knows there are a hundred reasons why the relationships haven't worked out.

It was only once I started writing I realised how this ties in with Thomas and Mitchell of the "you make it, son"-fame, and I liked having Buck realise that he was now in a position to do that.

Tommy is also stupidly awesome in this. What can you do?

A quick and (hopefully) fun fic because I wanted to post something and this is what I have ready!

I just really love the idea of Buck blurting out 'I love you' during sex and then being all 'shit shit shit' about it, but of course Tommy barely bats an eye, and of course Tommy loves him too.

I love that canon so far hasn't screwed us over, so we can live and write in this fairytale world where Tommy is awesome and their relationship can take so many different, wonderful directions. I love this everything is awesome and nothing hurts-world 💕

I could write a novel about this one.

It started as a hot and heavy oneshot abt Tommy seeing Evan on a heaving dancefloor, and it bringing out Tommy's inner beast and them having mad sex.

Then I (as always) started thinking abt "what next?" and ended up with 10k+ words abt Tommy figuring himself out and his journey out of the closet. What started as a story without that many feelings became at times almost introspective? Which is so not my thing to write. But challenging yourself as a writer is a thing!

Obv, this fic is inspired by A R I Z O N A's song "Feed The Beast" which is a fucking banger and has been in my Top 10 for a few years running. I think this might be my first songfic! When I saw people making playlists for BuckTommy, I kept expecting to see it! But alas...

I had so much trouble with the timeline, and finally decided to disregard canon and go with what worked for me and, hopefully, the story. I suppose this fic is as loose with passage of time as canon is! But seven years passes from the start of the fic to the end. Tommy is 30 at the start of the fic, and Evan is 23, but you can imagine them as any age you want.

Finally, I debated with putting something in the tags on A03 about it being less than romantic and it being about two adult men with a (mostly) healthy appetite for sex. So yeah, don't expect too many love declarations. They're kinda factual about sex and what they expect from each other. They're also not together for most of the fic, in fact they're involved with a number of other people.

But of course they end up happy together.

I guess I'll be adding some daddy kink to the Bucktommy fic I'm working on. 😏

I absolutely love AU's, it's my jam in every fandom. I just love how they can fall in love in any way, shape or form. Writing an AU where Buck is a teacher felt like a given!

It was less of a given what terms to use, like, do Americans even call it phys ed? Google seems to say yes? And what ages are what grades? If it's a public school I'll end up having them talk too much about insufficient funds. So fuck it, I went private 'cos in a way it makes sense to have this tight group as the faculty at a smaller, private school. I had a whole sidenote about Athena's grandfather founding it, but it just distracted from the plot so I cut it. Sorry. If something really seems wrong in how I depicted/explained the school, drop me a note, but honestly, that's not important, the important part is Buck and Tommy falling for each other.

My hc is that Tommy's family's from the Irish isle (I can go with Scotland), so yeah, he ended up having some expressions that are completely taken from Supt. Hastings from Line of Duty. My hc is Tommy heard his grandparents and older family/neighbours talk like that and has incorporated it into his vocabulary, as it were. (Notice me rushing past thinking Tommy's Irish but Hastings being Northern Irish).

Jack was not supposed to be in a more than one or two scenes, to show Buck being a caring teacher, but then he started having a story. I toyed with the idea of switching him out for Christopher, but that would've made the relationship something other than strictly student-teacher, and we'd gotten bogged down in the Eddie of it all. This way I could use Jack's dad as a catalyst for some stuff. Jack is 100% supposed to be Jack Kline with Mr. Collins being, you know who, and Alec is the name of a certain character on Dark Angel. I mean, it would be too on the nose to use the names I thought of first, but I'm sure some of you worked it out.

I'm suuuuper proud of how I worked some canon stuff in there, either with a twist or a comment and I hope people spot the winks to certain moments on the show!

I started off hesitant about the title but now I love it, because it says all you need to know about the fic. There's really nothing more to it than two pathetic losers and a cat, but I had so much fun writing it, and I love them being pathetic about each other!

Buck going on some cool educational course is an idea stolen from my own previous fic, but it ended up being a completely different 'verse because I wanted quite a lot of different plot points in this. I didn't even realise I was writing a clipboard-Buck from afar until days later. Gotta love stealing from yourself.

Honestly, tho, wouldn't Buck be the kind of firefighter who goes all over to participate in cool courses and wouldn't he find it awesome teaching others? And shouldn't he try for the lieutenant rank?

I wrote something! Something Bucktommy! I was kinda on the fence about writing them, but you all seem to be having so much fun, and there's so many great pieces out there about them, that I had to add my own! And it was fun to write them! Maybe I'll do it again!

Because I'm me, I had to write them having a serious convo and just the teensiest bit of angst, but come on, the making up is the best part of writing two characters. Oh the heartache and sad faces you can put them through, and then the wonderful realisation that they are destined to be forever in love.

I one hundred per cent subscribe to the idea that Tommy has his own little house, and I am absolutely going to make him an ice hockey guy. Whereas Buck barely knows the name of the LA team.

I worry some might think Tommy comes off too harsh against Buck in this, because Buck isn't really (knowingly) at fault, but I try to explain why he says and does the things he does, and I also feel that people say stupid shit when they're arguing and ffs, they're grown men. They're gonna say dumb shit to each other./stereotyping. But whatever, it's just fic so let's gooo!!!

Mind you, keeping the Buck/Evan shit straight (heh) was not easy and I don't think I fully got it. That's gonna annoy me whenever I re-read it.
