Raptor Rush
Basically a tribute to velociraptor, deinonychus, and their legacy in pop culture!
From Dinobot of Transformers, to Dinorexmon of Digimon, to Pod and the Walking with Dinosaurs Utahraptor, and of course, Blue and the other raptors of Jurassic Park fame.
And the final Chaos-o-saur for this month is the raptor of Malice (or Malal, whichever you prefer).
A being of contradictions, representing how dinosaurs were like, how they are in the present, what they become in the future, and what people percieve dinosaurs should be.
It has no "range" for that is too limiting, after all, walking absentmindedly into a new continent is so much less of a hassel than swimming oceans!
It can only be harmed by other chaos-influenced dinosaur if said dinosaur goes against the base nature of its patron god. For example, a Tyrannosaurus of Khorne can never catch it by trying to hunt it down... but it CAN be beaten by using a bit of smarts and simply get a rock thrown at it.
So, I’ve made a series of drawings celebrating Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary, specifically highlighting how much science has changed vs. when the original movie came out, and how much it affected the dinos of the franchise’s history.
First is the raptors, with a JP raptor here with Utahraptor and its namesake, Velociraptor.
Second is Spinosaurus, because JP3 has it’s 22nd anniversary this year, and the dude has changed repeatedly.
And finally, Tyrannosaurus rex itself. The modern T.rex is every bit as mighty and formidable as its fictional counterpart, and in some aspects (vision, overall build etc.) even more so. It’s only just much slower.
Today is Dinosaur Day, and since I refuse to let homophobes hijack dinosaurs for their own, twisted ideals, here’s one I made for both Dinosaur day and Pride.
There’s a lot of symbolism, here, but let me get the most obvious outta the way-
As an ally, living in a country that’s become deeply more hostile to LGBTQ+ rights, may you be given the strength of Tyrannosaurus rex itself. Just as T.rex is the most well known of all dinosaurs, we, as the majority of society, should do our best to help out our friends and fellow human beings.
May we all embrace change, and help others to reach out to sky in complete and utter freedom... just as modern, flying dinosaurs do.
You know how humans do weird things to pigeons and chicken breeds? We’d totally do it to raptors if they were domesticated.
