Being a massive history nerd, I LOVED it when Belos referred to himself as a Witch-hunter, because it makes complete sense since he’s from the 1600s. 1600s England/Colonies were also known as the age of Oliver Cromwell and Witch Hunts, and considering Cromwell’s attitudes toward the Irish and the sheer influence he had on politics and culture of the time, I have no doubt that Phillip idolized the guy.

Episode 2 was interesting. Besides Lumity, I did enjoy the exploration of Amity’s parents. We all knew Odalia is a jerk... But I don’t completely trust Alador either.
For most of the episode, he’s a rather charming “absent-minded mad scientist” kind of guy... but at the end, when he comments on Amity becoming more powerful... yeah. I felt like something’s up.
Oh! And as a bonus, here’s how Canon!Alador look like as a Werewolf in my AU xD
I hath updated the fic! Annnnnd it’s almost done! We’re definitely heading toward the climax. Let’s just say it’s been a blast to have gone through this journey with y’all.

So, with the news that Owl House Season 2 starts on June 12th, I knew I had to finish my fic before then.
I apologize for the late-ness however. My depressive fits were baaaaaaaaaaaad. And that sapped away a LOT of my creative energies, and only now that I felt even the tiniest bit better.
I owe a lot to @sorascribbless , @funnyfany and of course, @miuzes . Their enthusiasm for the fic... and just their positivity in general is infectious, and REALLY helped me outta my funk.

And also... also a timetable for me to finish my fanfic. I have trouble adjusting to out-of-character, so might as well as finish writing sympathetic Alador for as much as I can.

...This chapter is dedicated to @funnyfany . Because in this chapter... The Ravenblight is explicit and definitely relevant to the overall plot. And gosh dangit... it seems to be SUCH an interesting dynamic (even though we have NO idea how Amity’s dad is like).

Step 3: know that everything is improved by a Bionicle crossover and get a strong urge to parody the Dracula vs Van Helsing movie fight
Step 4: Decide that Eda has a pair of brass knuckles that was a gift from Grunkle Stan
Step 5: Devise amazing Bard OC with @hopal-foropal
Step 6: Figure out how to justify a volcano fight that's a combination of Anakin vs Obi Wan, Tekken 7's finale and the Clockwerk boss fight from Sly Cooper 1

Here comes Chapter 4!
To my shock, this was even LONGER than Chapter 1! And that one had the most world-building elements, my specialty!
This was basically a big exercise in how to write dramatic tension, as well as how to write feelings of awkwardness between two individuals... Also sister fun-times!
I have to say, I have to credit @miuzes as my co-writer for this chapter. She basically wrote a lot of paragraphs that helped me learn how to write drama, tension, and sadness. Dialogue is more my specialty, so it was great to learn from someone who’s great at descriptions.
I will be heading off to bed. Have to wake up early.

Originally there was gonna be a LOT more images, but anxiety and commission work and preparation for the return of my day job meant I can only upload three, and I plan to upload my fic today.
This “light” chapter became WAY more feelsy than I thought xD.

Fanfic progress: It’s the longest chapter so far.
What was supposed to be a simple Eda and Lilith fun-time bonding adventure, but it now turns into a feels involving Amity as well and gosh dang it I’m a sucker for angst and reconciliation. Also, I owe a lot of thanks to @miuzes.

It’s a much, MUCH more emotional and dark chapter compared to the previous ones.
tw: there’s a lot of shouting involved. Also Odalia’s controlling nature being VERY obvious.
I also gave one of Willow’s dads a LOT of prominence here. Since we don’t know anything yet about them, it certainly gives me a lot of flexibility.
